Sentry, since the gun-grabbers are nearly all "liberals", and they have certain other issues . . . You could point out to them the Certain Scenario that would result from the grabbing:
1) The grab-laws are created; the SCOTUS is silent, so all the Good Guys guns get grabbed.
2) The Bad Guys still have their guns, because the government doesn't know where they are. Lots and lots of violent crime ensues.
3) Eventually, over a long, dragged out period of attrition, the Bad Guys and their guns are eliminated. The liberals can emerge from their hiding places and get back to work at creating a socialist world.
4) Unfortunately, #3 has taken so long that Climate Change has turned the entire country into a burning desert.
The Good Guys must keep their guns, else the country will become a burning desert.

We each should start by helping ourselves.

Which is why I am not a big fan of most therapists and counselors. Many of whom have more problems than the people they are supposedly helping.
