I had saved my tomato peels from when I canned (dehydrator broke and I now have new one). I froze them so now I am drying to make tomato powder. So good in sauces, meat loaf and gravies.
Went to Walmart at 6:30 to stock some canned veggies. They had most of what I needed. I bought the last 7 cans of spinach and the last 7 cans of french cut green beans. They had none of their brand of asparagus.
Came home and par boiled some chicken to finish on the grill later. Fed dogs.
Walked and walked dogs.
Next I have to figure out how to hook up the new thermal printer.
Cook on the grill later and make (cauliflower) potato salad.
Church at 5:30
Snappy, we have noticed that asparagus is hard to find around here. (TN) I wonder if it is nation wide?

They had name brands, but not too much of them and nothing less than $3 a can or jar. Too pricey for me!

Started converting a storage shed/chicken coop to a "she-shed" for the better 1/2 to be able to escape to away from all us noisy cretins. I'd been using to brood out my freshly hatched chicken & quail and hospital/isolation for any animals that needed it, so it wasn't exactly clean. Filled three 75 gallon trash cans with junk, hauled what we still use regularly to another shed & mucked out the worst of the debris. Started removing some MDF shelves, and then it's time to fix up the drywall, deal with a broken window and make it purty.

Thanks for the well-wishes. Doctor couldn't see me but I was able to see the NP. Got nasal swab and tested negative for flu and Covid. As I suspected, I have bronchitis. So, I have to wait for the understaffed pharmacy to fill my rx. In the meantime I'll keep taking vitamin C and some Mucinex to hack this crap up so it doesn't get deeper. I had myself a good nap and am snuggled up with my kitties. I'm about to go get some soup.

Hope everyone else is feeling well.

Had to go pickup a few things from Walmart.
Holy crap, never seen so many empty shelves. We didn't get a few things we wanted.

Left there and went to look at Maltipoo puppies , wife is kinda wanting a lap pup.
We had a Maltese for 14 years , till it passed. The poo part just gives it curly coat.

Went to Mexican for lunch.
Came home install 2 more rollout shelf units.
Instal shut-off valves on the hot water heater. Gotta move it away from basement wall, because Helitech is coming Wednesday.
That's 1 month early.

Resting now, gonna watch a movie then hit the fart sack.

One thing I like about the poo part is they don't shed. Wife got a Cavapoo a few months ago, I haven't saw more than a piece or two of hair since then.

Just ordered my first pair of glasses from Zenni optical. I went cheap since I don't know if I measured everything correctly. Anybody use them?

My oldest has been buying her glasses there for a few years now. No problems.

Set mouse traps to catch the critter that defiled a cache of chocolate bars The Princess had in her office. Check

Cleared out all of the cleaning supplies from under the kitchen sink so that I tighten the nut that holds the faucet in place.

That view of the back bottom of the sink is never a joy to see. I hope I got the nut tight enough but I said that the last time.

Now settling in for some reading before I fetch the Jeep from the mechanic.

Tomorrow I may be back at the remodel house.

Ben

Thats something I need to do soon. I've been putting it off because its such a hassle.

I woke with an idea how to route the under cabinet lighting wires without being seen. After installing 3 of the pucks I am happy with it.

View attachment 78606

I opted to secure them with screws because double sided tape has failed me too many times. I used doubled up duct tape to hold the pucks in place while drilling and installing the wee little screws to keep the pucks aligned with the holes. Worked a treat.

Now if someone crawls up on the counter the wires can be seen but i can live with that.

I will order some wire management channels to clean up the wire routing in the cabinets.

I am now settling in with no need to leave home for three days and a snow event coming in tomorrow. I may clone some seedless grapes provided I can find some dirt. That would be a nice change of pace.

Ben

I like those lights. What are they called and where did you find them?

This morning I'm gathering up some guns that I plan on selling. I may take them to a gun shop and sell on consignment.
Then I need to change oil and grease the tractor, change oil in welding machine and the well pump generator.
I've got a fuel delivery coming up sometime this week so I need to work on the road some, since the propane truck got stuck. They're calling for snow on Thursday, could be heavy. I need to grease the snow blower and get it ready to go.

Walked first.
Have laundry going.
Made business calls.
Tried to hook up thermal printer to my laptop. Unsuccessful so far. Taking a break from it.
Have dinner this evening with the Sunday School ladies.
Really trying to keep it simple today! Heard something really creepy about the NASA bill and hoping it's just rumor!

I drank so much water yesterday I was having to get up several times last night. Cough isn't so bad. Breathing seems a little better, but I feel tired and chilly. Sinus pressure is contributing to me feeling tired. Mom's dog decided he wants to be in here with me for now.

I'm waiting on confirmation from the pharmacy that RXs are ready before I head to Walmart. I really don't want to be around other people, but it's unavoidable. They don't do curbside for pharmacy pickup-- not enough staff.

Client has COVID, so not seeing her dog this week. She has worked hard to not get it, especially when everyone else in her office had it except her, and it has finally caught up to her.

Sold some things on Etsy, so going to the post office to mail them. I am in an avoid going out mode, due to the high incidence of COVID, but gotta do what I have gotta do.

Democraps will change the rules if they can't get their way!

After getting The Princess's car out of the snow I parked it on the front street so she will not have to deal with that issue when it is time for her to go to Kung Fu tonight. Took care of some admin issues learned that the heater core replacement is done and I can pick up the Jeep Liberty this evening.

So being stranded at home I started working on cloning seedless grapes.

Cleared room in the grow station for the clones.

Got my cuttings ready and then I discovered my lack of planning.

My dirt is frozen rock solid and is not thawing fast.

Note to self
Thaw your dirt a day ahead of time Ben!

The Princess will not be happy to find diet 5hawing 8n 5he mud room I am sure. Hopefully getting her car free and catching the mouse 5hat ate her chocolate will earn me some protection from her wrath. ;)

Ben

Finished putting up some Christmas decorations (finally)
Will go shopping again today for more food for the sick baby at home.
Hard-boiled some eggs
Packing up the car and getting ready to head out tomorrow for my shifts.
Our realtor is coming over this evening to present an offer to us, from her and her husband. Our house hasn't even hit the market yet. Apparently there are 2 other people from Seattle (of course) that want it, but we would prefer to sell it to her as she will let us rent back until May.

Didn't get everything done that I wanted to today. The snow blower wouldn't start, the starter froze. I brought out the portable jet heater and thawed it out. I did get it greased. Got the area cleared out around the fuel tanks with the tractor for when the delivery truck shows up.
Took some time off and did some shooting. The wife wanted to shoot the 357 magnum rifle and pistol.
