Living the dream, Pearl, even though this is a very busy time of year for me. It is quiet right now.

Happy Friday! I'm at work, not much going on. Hopefully it's a quiet day. Leaving a little early, have appt for a massage to try to ease some of my back pain. First time having a massage, hoping it helps. Then prepping the boat for fishing tomorrow morning. 🎣

Morning @Pearl, this morning was the worst. My phone alarm went off and I got up to start my day... Every clock I came in contact was off by a couple of hours, I was about to run my errands and asked "Alexia" what time is it, her response was 2 hours earlier than I thought it was. Seems my phone decided it was in a different time zone.... Not good... But I had time to do some work and a load of dishes ;)

But I had time to do some work and a load of dishes

That is my morning routine, except when I am playing golf. Every morning I an loading and unloading the dishwasher, and washing pots and pans and misc that won't go in the dishwasher. Since I have retired the other members of my household seem to think this (putting dishes in and taking dishes out of the dishwasher) causes cancer.

Happy Friday. I've been checking on things, and finding out which relative has the answer to our ancestry for one of my cousins. My late Uncle did genealogy research the old fashioned way. I know we have some Cherokee, but not sure how much. Then either Irish or English. So, hoping to find out. There is a book he did for the brothers and sisters. But I didn't have one for this cousin.

Anyway, that's what I've been up to.

Someone must be cooking if there are dirty dishes and pots!!😃

Keep digging, @Angie
I found my proof of my grandfather’s grandfather being full Native American through checking old military records. If there’s an LDS church near you, check with using their computers with the family history people. They have subscriptions and easy access to many historical databases, all free. Hours are limited. If you need more info, let me know.

If there are pots and pans usually it is me. If there are baking dishes and utensils that would be ny wife. My son just makes a mess and leaves it for the maid, but that is a whole 'nother story.

Happy Friday to you all too. Having a chilled evening here, it's a cool autumn evening and everything is quiet and peaceful in our corner of the world.
I think we are tired out from talking; so the family have scattered to their own rooms, and I'm about to take the cuppa one of my lovely sons bought up to me and watch tv in bed.
Oíche maith!

This morning the cat did not meow at my door. She was relieved to see me but acted skittish. She ate the soft wet food I gave her hurriedly. The dog came out from another room, didn’t want to go out, not too unusual. Daughter hitched up the dog for a walk, they were gone less than a minute. Dog did not want to be out. ???
Both animals continued to act like trouble was afoot.
Home at lunchtime, same thing.

Helping son with the greenhouse build, although he doesn't need much help, so I guess I'm just the "hey, great job" lady. Framing almost done. Only 3 trips to the hardware store. He's planning on going back to New Mexico tomorrow, short trip. Went into town this last trip and stopped at the farmer's market...all baked goods right now. But you know, you've got to support that, so I've eaten way too many cookies today.

Finally Friday theme song... edited, short with fades, G. Jones.

It was 47F at 5:00 this morning with clear skies when I took the dog for a walk. Perfect weather, but a lot cooler than I'm used to.

It reached up to 64F this afternoon but the temperature's already dropping. That's normal for this time of year, and we're definitely hearing the message that colder weather is ahead. I'm good with that - new seasons are welcome.

I had a busy but productive day at work. Getting together with friends tomorrow. I hope you all are doing well and keeping out of trouble. (Or, getting into trouble and enjoying every minute of it!)

SOMETHING is out there!! I had a raccoon steal a cat bowl from the barn cat! It's in a tree!😮

Sounds great!! Eat cookies and supervise!! 👍😃

I'll show y'all QUIET!!!

Got some riding pics to share in another thread, y'all will see 'em (and the thread) soon enough, lol... right now, I've cleaned up, I just finished a burly B-rip, I'm drinking cold beer and looking forward to some SE-WIOUS chicken burrito action later!!! Leftover burrito mix, but still heller good... in fact, these batches of burrito mix I slap together usually taste BETTER after a few days in the fridge, AYE? And each burrito plate could feed an Ethiopian village for at LEAST a month, 10-4??? Just the way it IS here in the BOONDOCKS, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

When I go out the front door lately…adult Mediterranean geckos are hanging around. So cute. One is white with pale stripes. Why? Is it the lightning? Saw a baby gecko in the house. @Pearl I still don’t know what’s up with cat & dog. They are still acting weird and not picking on one another.

Not likely @Magus haven’t had quakes here in a while, those were fracking quakes.
Meow. Because of people moving out from the neighborhood a lot, they’re probably leaving their cats. Hearing cats fighting outside so hopefully that’s all it is.
