What are you paying for gas?

The Des Moines metro area is in some kind of price war. In my town and the surrounding little towns, gas is 3.50, +/- 10 cents. But I paid 3.12 last night in Polk City, which is basically a Des Moines suburb. Gas in Ankeny which is the north side suburb, was 3.12 also...
 
In Crossville, TN, I saw the price drop down to around $3.17 or so for regular a week or so ago but see that now it's back up to $3.39.

I needed some gas for around the place, for lawnmowers, the Gator, that kind of thing, and get 100% gas. I had let it go longer than normal and I got my cans filled as well as topping off the tank on the van (only a few gallons). $191. OUCH! Kinda sounds like maybe the timing was decent, though. (sigh) I wonder how much it'll go up?
 
We are at about $3.55 a gallon. Down, but it still takes $50.00 to fill the tank.

That's about where we have been.
Saw $2.99 all over Delcambre La. today... and even $2.93 at Chevron! :eyeballs:
(they have good, real gas) Obviously a 'gas-war' is going on down there.

Road diesel = $1.94-9... Liter...

Both prices higher overnight.. I suspect because of the last long weekend of summer..

Our brand new Shell station (good gas) that has always boasted the highest price in town, has capitulated and was showing $2.99 today.:eyeballs:

Just wait a few weeks and they will switch to the winter blend and prices will go up.
Gas mileage will also go down because of the winter blend.
The cheapest around here is $3.889 but the closest place is $4.099.
Both places are on the Rez.

I blame the permanent damage they did to demand when the price got so high.
People changed their driving habits. :(
I celebrated when the nonstop stream of young people passing in front of our house ceased.
They would jump in their car every half hour and zoom, zoom, zoom🤪 all day.
The traffic today is the same as when gas was $4.89 , never to return.

Yesterday, on my way into town, I saw regular unleaded at $3.06 per gallon, lowest it has been in a while. After the next fraudulent election, the prices will go up in time to shaft consumers over the holidays, guaranteed. Good thing my bike is now up and running with that new Dunlop front tire! No more worries about a recalled Continental tire blowing out on a hairpin mountain curve, with my bike (and moi) sliding into the path of an oncoming truck, lol. First nice day of pure sunshine, I'm gonna ride the scenic Rim Trail and take some pics to post here... and to heck with fuel prices! I only run premium in my bike too! So there, you greedy petrochemical swine! Lol. :cool:
