Not a song but a jingle. I think that it was a Huggies commercial where they sing "I'm a big kid now". Since about day 4 of our puppy arriving that goes through my mind every time she goes out with the "big kids". She weighed almost 4 lbs then & she would go out & try to play & keep up with the big kids, they weigh between 17 & 22 lbs. Being a dachshund she has grown longer since then but she's a miniature so she is still tiny compared to them.
Fortunately this one is finally fading away, but it was drilled into my head daily, for months.To make sure you can never rinse it out of your head, they play it every 30 minutes ON EVERY CHANNEL!.

There was some movie way back when, and the main character was on a cross country bus where someone else was trying to get all the passengers to sing along with him. Except they would get the first line or two of lyrics and then forget the rest of the words. Then someone starting singing old TV theme songs and everyone joined in (except the main character). The crowd knew the entire words to every theme song. The main character was plugging his ears or shaking his head or something. the entire bus was happy, except for the main character.
I probably have the details wrong - my memory isn't that good - but the above is what's in my failing memory, the jist of what happened.
When I was in high school, in the marching band, the crowd always went wild when we played the Hawaii 5-0 theme song. That was a helluva fun song to play. At least if you played trumpet or drums. I think the trombones probably had a blast too.

I’ve been whistling the theme song from the Andy Griffith show. My husband tolerates me really well.
For me it's commercial jingles, always the weird ones too! Like the Spongmonkeys in Quiznos sandwich jingle. I was so glad they finally dropped that ad campaign. Miss the little guys though!

I couldn't sleep a wink last night. I kept hearing in my head, Lara's Theme from Dr. Zhivago. Over and over. It's not a bad song, but after the 27,000th replay in my head, I just gave up on sleeping and got up.

IMHO that happens to all of us quite frequently. You get a song stuck in your head and it rattles around like a B-B in a box car. You can't get rid of it. I bet if you asked a doctor they would have a name for it.
Remember the song Precious and Few circa 1971-72? It was part of an NCIS episode last night, and now it is stuck in my head. I remember it well from when it was released. Now I will remember it forever.
