While I was bailing out on society, I was moving some canned goods into my Winnebago with a 5 gallon soap bucket, it dawned on me that you could get a few days supplies into a bucket, so, like that teardrop bag I tested out, I decided to try to see how long I could live off the stuff in the bucket, at two meals a day, it lasted one person, that being me, ten days with a can of peaches, two packs of cheese crackers and a can of potted meat left, that in itself would make a meal, but I got sick of canned crap. LOL with careful packing and long term storage foods, you could keep this just inside the door, maybe two to grab and go if SHTF RIGHT THEN! Like a train full of cyanide wrecked a mile away or your neighbor is on the roof of his house with an M-60 he smuggled home from desert storm screaming at god. grab and go. nothing fancy, but you will need water!
