The best part about owning a yacht is the game wardens never check them for illegal fishing. That's what a friend told me when I told him Lingcod were not in season.

They are not uncommon here. John Wayne came through every summer, in his yacht, for several years. Good fishing, great scenery, lots of great anchorages with no visible houses so plenty of privacy. You can run for hours between house sightings.

Over 60 years of plying these waters I've only called for a tow once.
