Bought a new phone

I have not been posting because my service was crap
So I bought a new phone and dumped my old carrier
It has taken me a day and a half to get the old provider to let go and allow me to port my old number to my new phone
But finally they did
I have a I 8 se 4rd generation
I simply could not give up the home button on the I 8
Now the fun part
Transferring all of those contacts

Does anyone know what this is for?
One end fits my phone and the other fits nothing I am aware of, it came with the phone it is supposed to be the charger

You can buy charger box pretty easily. Interchangeable with some other electronics. I have an electric outlet wired to just plug cord into as well as a plug converter in go my truck. Great for longer trips using GPS/maps

It's a USB C cable.
You need a USB c power adapter instead of the old style
