weedy, that video tells you how to pickle them. I don't want to pickle them. I use them in beef stew and eat them roasted or steamed. If pickled it would not taste right. Thanks for looking.

I don't know anybody who has canned a radish. I would guess it would end up tasting like a boiled radish. I eat them raw. I do know my favorite cousin's son in law brought in one of those massive daikons (hog radish) and diced it up and was cooking it in the kitchen in a little fat in the frypan. He was going to make some scrambled eggs and add it to that. He caught heck from his wife for stinking up the kitchen.

Like many other things, Asians have been pickling, fermenting & canning radishes for hundreds of years.
I would say you can cook radishes anyway you cook turnips, carrot & beets.

Has anyone canned radishes with out pickling them? If so how did they turn out?
Have you tried to can them yet? Found anything about how to?
I did see that they can be dehydrated or frozen.

Radishes are one of the fastest growing veggies we can plant in our gardens. They are ready to eat in about 3 weeks. I hope everyone grows them in their garden. They might be something that we can grow in a pot inside during winter months. I know that they lose their heat when they are cooked.
