The originals are going for half a million and up. The were fitted with 260 - 289 CI engines until 67 when they had a 427 OHC shoe-horned into them. The 289 version was the better handling car but the 427 was a brute. 0 to 100, back to 0 and back to 100 and back to a full stop in less than a minute. One of the fastest accelerating cars in history and it's naturally aspirated.
Loved those old Shelby's. I'd love to take a ride in either model. That thing must be a brute with the 427. I know the 189 models were fast.

Our mechanic shop teacher back in High School told us he heard they could go from 0-100 and back to 0 in under 10 seconds but he had his doubts......then he saw 1 do it. I've always wanted 1 but that'll never happen.
