Dates for planting a garden in Missouri

Another couple of weeks here in southern Missouri. After April 15 for tomatoes and such potatoes should already be in the ground.
Yeah that's what I was kind of thinking on I'm hoping I can get my tiller running before it gets too late to plant potatoes just been way too busy on the dairy to try to get the garden in yet
 
My FIL always waited until May 1st to plant especially tomatoes. He was usually pretty successful. Sometimes it was hard to be patient, but enough late April surprises helped him stay patient.

Yeah that's why I haven't really got too big of a hurry to plant mine I would like to have my potatoes in the ground though
