And it is really good at evading me or do we just not have the interest here?
My little opinion, I think there should be, thought there was over in farm implements area.
Put a post in announcements and feedback. @Angie
There are a couple threads in "Cooking and Crafts" / "Crafts and Arts" but no dedicated place I have seen. https://www.homesteadingforum.org/forums/crafts-and-arts.48/
I agree there should be one. Blacksmithing is an area that will be quite important should power go down.
My husband is a metal fabricator / blacksmith. It’s a valuable skill and he is having trouble finding a young person who can read a tape measure and be sober aaand actually be willing to work.
A lot of people would not post anything that can lead people back to them. Operational Security is taken pretty serious around here. General location is OK but anything that can be searched back to a specific address is iffy.
Thank you. I will edit and remove.
I do a little work in metal but I would never call myself a blacksmith. Blacksmithing is a science and art that I truly admire.
I am a hobbyist who works with metal, leather, plastic and wood. Mostly I can make patterns and complex drawings and then bring them to life.
