I have done some spinning, but never flax. A fellow spinner told me that it is not as easy as wool.

@elkhound I think you and I have the same recommended feed. LOL I added that yesterday into my playlist to watch when I've the time. Growing flax for spinning is something I'd like to give a whorl to try.

Just got done watching it. I knew there was a long process for preparing the fiber for spinning but that was interesting to see. I wish there was commentary and comments available.

Yup I still want to try it. Off to see where I can purchase seeds

Neat. I had some flax seeds I once threw out. They grew, but was difficult to mow as it has that stringy fiber.

I will have to watch it tomorrow. I'm familiar with the process but have never done it myself. I just went to a fiber festival last weekend which was wonderful. The friend I went with got a flax/wool to spin up. She's quite experienced at spinning but has never spun flax. I got silk to try for the first time - haven't dared yet. I would love to give flax a whirl at some point. I love linen.
