Food Price Thread

@LadyLocust I bought some thread this week, even the price of thread seems ridiculously high! Now I can’t remember what it was…regular thread from wm, between $2 and $3.

Good news. I found Spam for $2.99 a can. They even had maple flavor. During the fake pandemic I couldn't find Spam anywhere. Except the crap nobody would buy, like the low sodium and plain flavor.

It's one of the things that doubled in price here, as well as the tinned corned beef. Price hasn't dropped either- I keep a few tins for camping.

When we get snowed in here for a couple of weeks at a time, and run out of bacon, we'll substitute Spam. Fried up its pretty good.

Same here! Theres also a egg-shaped tin of ham with a jelly around it that fries well.

We keep several of the canned hams in our pantry too.

I keep alot of canned hams, too. The expiration dates are usually pretty decent, but have noticed that Aldi is out of them most of the time, and everybody's price on them have gone up about a buck fifty a can.

I priced the tinned ham here- its not a big can either- €5.50! jeez, its even expensive to camp now. My shopping bill this week- not a big shop either - was horrendous.

Last time I checked, they were $3.95 here, up a buck from last year. Meat is crazy priced.
