Herbal book i picked up

Ooooh, I think I have this one. I know I’ve got two written by this person. It was included in the sets of books I got when I enrolled in a bunch of herbal medicine classes.

Big old book maybe 1920s era. Lots of herbalists reference the author. No identification photos of substance.

This is another book that i can't remember what I read in it, but i still have it for a reason. I studied from it for my herbal medicine courses I took back around the time I started using herbs.
From what I gather off the webs it was 1931. I found A Modern Herbal, Volumes 1 & 2 on thrift books.

I really like the old books from a different era. The approach to medicine is different today. Some things are better but a lot of things are not. It’s beneficial to understand the medicine of the past, no matter the era.

The translations are difficult for me, an illness today has had dozens of names through history. And, plant names change too. The way illnesses were viewed has changed continually as well as the way they were written about.

Anyway, good find!
