Ok, but I still don't get what was the disqualification!!

If you watch the videos... Maximum security spooked coming around the last turn (crowd noise). The horse went about 6ft out of the line it had been running. This change of line interfered with 4 other horses. In my OP any one of the 4 other horses could have claimed victory. As with all things... politics!

I take this opportunity to impart some wisdom of my Grandfather. He always said... "Gambling, You might as well take your money and shove it up the behind of a wild hog and holler "Soew Eeee". :D

Good thing I didn't gamble on the race.

Instead, I shoved money up the behind of the movie/theater industry, and went to see the Avengers movie with my son.
A regular at one of the dog parks told me he and his wife went to a movie and got some snacks. $60

I suppose that Netflix and all the other online options has had an affect on theaters. They have to have spent lots of money on building those theater buildings.

Lolol
Ironically, I’ve always done well at the small time gambling I have done. I once went to a sandwich shop in CA near my office, they had keno on the tv. I paid cash for my lunch, then realized I didn’t have change for the vending machines at the office for later. I bought a scratch off ticket for a dollar and paid with a $20 so I would have change.

I won $100 on the scratch off ticket. :) Everyone playing keno cheered for me! Until I told them why I bought the ticket, then they wanted to kick my butt! I just needed change for a $20!:D

Record breaking box office movies, pulling in millions first release night. Most theaters are not well made!

I don't think I have ever gone to first release night. Maybe Jaws in the 1970's. There is a local theater chain that charges $3 before 6 p.m., $4 after 6 p.m for movies that are not the latest, but out for a while. They do sell lots of concessions, but I have never been about ordering concessions. For years, I had a movie purse where we would take soda's, home popped corn, snacks. We would pay the $1 or $2 and see the movie. Popping a can of soda in a movie theater is always a give away though. I guess I am kind of cheap. I have not been in a movie theater for several years. I do watch movies on Netflix or borrow from my library.

I'm cheap too. I wait and see it at home unless it's something I really enjoy or extenuating circumstances. The girls have a large canvas bag they put their goodies in, along with bottled water. Tuesday nights we've gotten big discounts.

Talking about casinos - did you know the the casinos pay out about 97% of the slot machine income? the other 3% pays for the casino in two years.
