I'm new here and want a homestead

I raise chickens and turkeys, turkeys are great protein and not difficult. We will be setting up our rabbits for breeding this spring. Thinking about adding sheep to this mix, we have the grass, have a large barn for them. If we were low on room, I'd do chickens, turkey, and rabbit.

If I can raise pigs anyone can. Just build the pen right the first time. I have only recently discovered 2 hotwires will keep them from tearing up the fence. One at about 8 inches off the dirt and the other at about 20 inches.

We usually raise 4 pigs every year. One for us, one for the kids, and two to sell or trade. Our pig pen is around 30×60 with a small barn for shelter. Quite often I turn the pigs loose to forage around the area. They never wander off too far and always come back.
