Damn, BP, your post hit me like a ton of bricks. I know so many who didn't come back, and watched others die later from the results of the environment in Viet Nam.

Thanks for your service all who served, and for the lives of those you lost @Backpacker and other friends.

They are the finest of the best we can never meet their equal.

The closest we can get is if we follow them.

Governments, Monarchist, Dictators. Politicians all kill more humans in a day than all of the murders all over the world kill in a week or more.

I have always wondered what they would do if all of the soldiers said NO and just killed them and their subordinates.

I was visiting.

My father was born on the real Memorial Day, 95 years ago. He was a marine during the end of ww11, lied about his age to join, and Korea. Mom finally went to join him on Jan 1st this year.
