During our EMT years we used this stuff for training. It occurred to me knowing how to do this may be useful in a WROL situation.
If you look like you were already beat up and robbed, you may be passed over. At least initially. On the flip side a bad guy could do the same thing to trick you into dropping your guard. Either way I think it is a useful skill for training also. I am quoting the CDC website since it had how to make it recipes. https://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatters/2020/10/moulage/

We brought our eldest niece to Alaska one winter. We set her up to run a dog sled and learn how to ride a snowmobile, among other things. I taught he how to give herself a black eye. She was old enough to travel alone so on the plane back home she went into the toilet and applied the black eye. Her mother and grandmother met the plane.

One of my kids has a friend who is very good at this moulage artistry. I’ve seen her stuff on P*interest. She could make good money around Halloween. I think she works with emergency training and safety situations and makes people look seriously injured or dead. I’ve seen a couple of those photos too. Freaky.
Having spare hair dye or extensions would help in changing one’s appearance as well. It is crazy how a new style and hair color can cause such a difference. Try it. I did. 🤔
