Wow, she made that? She could definitely sell it
She tells me there is $80 of yarn in that sweater and it took her around 24 hours to knit it. If one figures her time is worth minimum wage (~$10/hr), she would have to charge $320 for the sweater. She says knitters really can't sell hand-knit socks, mittens, hats, and sweaters and make any money at it....especially if they're using quality wool yarn and the item has design features.
