Well, after 2 years of not making g one, I decided to get off my butt and make one (or 3...).

I added a thong loop to help secure the hawk on the belt.

Next up will be an Outdoor specific belt to secure everything I usually take on an outing.

Nice... in a sense, leather work is like woodwork, they both smell good, lol. Half the fun of creative woodworking is enjoying that aroma of freshly-sawn lumber... and a decent saddlery doesn't smell bad either, lol.

Here is an Idea, it fits on your belt, when open it is a foldedd tote bag

Oh, I plan to add a suspender system to my belt too.
More area to put stuff on...

I have a couple of those I bought already. What is that canvas bag?
swiss milsurp gas mask bag actually. I made that for my niece, she hunts mushrooms

Until you even the edges with a sander. :p
I have a neat trick for you. I was told this last week, it is so damn simple I can not believe i never thought about it.
Getting the hole center for a belt is time consuming and a PITA
BUT. Take a stick or a piece of metal.
Drill 3 holes the outside 2 holes 3" center to center
then drill a hole dead center of the 2 at 1 1/2''

put a bolt, screw , rivet whatever in the 2 outside holes
drop it down on your strap turn it so the bolt touches both sides of the leather and the cent hole is your center
works on any size strap up to 3''
