I have MANY times in my life told people to not be so close!!

This is something that we often had to teach children in school.

Starting time is 8 AM. 8:03 coworker is standing outside smoking a cigarette. I ask the coworker if they work here? Coworker gives me a puzzled look and says yes. Then I ask coworker since starting time is 8 and he works here then why is he already on a break?
