Red pepper tomato soup question

Is there something wrong with canning this? I know it will have to be thin. But why no recipes for red pepper tomato soup?

I haven't heard of pepper tomato soup. My wife cans tomato basil soup.

We canned tomato sauce with peppers and onions, stuff kept great!

My mom used to make tomato pepper soup. I don't remember her canning it though. She would grate some mozzarella cheese on top before eating it! I need to dig through her recipes and see if I can find it!!

I pressure can tomato soup using chicken broth, no milk. I add cream when I open it.

Ok this is what Im going to do. Roast the red peppers tomatoes garlic onions. Put them in a pot and cook them down. When they are soft I use an immersion blender. Put some chicken stock in to thin and can.

So @catsraven they are calling this ketchup but it’s sounding similar to what you are saying also. I love these folks. They don’t do things by halves. That’s for sure.

I wish we could get canned pickled green tomatoes and turnips.
