He was so talented. And such an amazing voice.

I feel like I'm losing small pieces of my childhood every time one of them passes over.
 
I still see reruns of Gomer Pyle USMC as well as Mayberry RFD.. He had one heck of a career.

Marines loved the show. I was lower rank enlisted at the time and we used to say Gollee Sergeant to our noncoms. The normal response was shut up Gomer. The thing that amazed me about Nabors was the difference between his speaking and singing voice, which was magnificent. He is a loss to many on older generations.
 
Something I never knew till lately, he was gay. Loved him, one of the GREATS !...............
