Never had any problems in the snow mud or sand with my truck even pulling a 9000lb trailer I think ill keep my truck and say no to the outback.

No my truck lives for me and I know that's its just a toy but until you've worked hard for something you just won't understand

Romney lost by 3.5 million votes. If you added all of the "other" votes up you still wouldn't have enough to give him a chance in hell to win. lol u mad

Your right cuz retarded kids like you will believe what ever the tv tells you to. You know your still dumb for throwing away your vote even if my guy lost I still made my vote count. It's because of tards like you this country is going to **** cuz you don't give a damn and that the reason I'm prepping. So when you retards try to take over I have what's need to take my country back.

I don't watch TV. You wasted your vote just as much as I did. Tards like me are ruining the country? Strange. Your country? Double strange.

So... if i won the lottery: i would take a new chevy suburbon; put in 4x4; drop in a cummings diesel; strip the inside; tac it out; and powder coat it od green; lots of other details but i just dont feel like listing all. It would be nice until it broke or we ran out of diesel. Lol

Keeping a full tank of gas, and being one of the masses is your best GO vehicle options.
A straight up armored, wells fargo/brinks truck will be useless days after the first major exedus.
Every bottleneck in the area will be a dead end after that, life is not like a movie.

Well. That might work where you are from but there are no masses any where this vehicle would be in my " i won the lottery world.

If one was to find a fire engine post shyf i think they'd have the best go vehicle ever just think of all that equipment ,,, just a thaught

All great ideas, dont forget the front bumper scoop saying coming soon but driving in reverse ha anyway , but yea with some sort of metal tubes grinded to a fine razor point put atop of your bumper scoop . Hey got to have a undead idea on the scoop. Go to your local scrap yard and find some good steel, make some pop up and down flaps for your windows , aka armor for your windows.

But if you get time checkout Rigid lights, some good lights to invest in right there. And a awsome product.:ar15:

Im with you emp, an LR defender or an AM General HMWWV aka Military Hummer, but for sure i would go with a diesel engine for my BOV

what about maintenance, electronics out the ass, you **** those up and your on foot from there

A diesel 4X4 is the only way to go. Best mileage for the largest vehicle. Any diesel pre 2003 will run on just about any petrolium liquid.

I found 5/16" aluminum sheet (6061) will stop 9mm and 45 acp bullets at a range of 15 yards... at only about 2/3 pound or so per sq foot, you can armor up a vehicle without adding too much weight.

unfortunately adding on armor able to handle rifle rounds you'd be better off with a bank truck or maybe a surplus armored personnel carrier.

to stop a 5.56 or 7.62 Nato round at 10 yards you'd need about 1-1/4" of aluminum or 1/2" steel plate. neither of which are light... aluminum (6061) comes in at about 20 lbs per sq foot and steel is like 22 lbs or something.

3/8" aluminum can stop a shotgun slug at 10+ yards. actually it doesn't take much to stop shotgun slugs, they really don't penetrate much.

I have a duramax with no emissions stuff on it. It gets 22 mpg on the highway. My power wagon is what is the ultimate doomsday rig in it just looks cool, plus it gets points for having no electronics and surprisingly will still top 10 mpg.

My shtf vehicle is a 94 Military MRAP. I can load the entire family and still have room for supplies, artillery, etc. She's a beauty!!
