Not in my world. That tractor would just tear up my garden soil and pack it down. That is a commercial tractor that we all need to get away from depending on.
They are here to stay.
Each one does the work of 4 tractors, with 1/4th of the manpower.
Imagine a man being able to work 4X the number of acres in a day verses the old, smaller ones .

I know it's a tractor thread, but I still stand by what I said. We all need to grow our own as much as we can and stop relying on the grocery store to provide for what we are eating, which goes right back to that big tractor pic you gave.

...Try explaining that to the millions that live in skyscrapers in the big blue metropolis.
They are still humans and have to be fed, every day.:(

This was at my nieces house last christmas, old but still powerful, from the 70's. It was for sale.

edit... the Ford was for sale also.

I worked on several 1805's, back in the day.
They put 'MF' on them for a very good reason .

Indestructible! ...except for the pony-engine that starts it:rolleyes:.
the pony can be a bit of a challenge, if it pukes I have a big air starter or maybe direct electric

What's the standard transmission with 4WD transfer case for?
that is a Chev 3 speed manual and a np205, I should list it for sale somewhere it is a pretty rare combo

Well, the starter on that one won't wear out until his grey hair starts to fall out .
that thing is so worn out, and not the most co operative to start.

I couldn't tell if you are talking about the 'starter', or the tractor.🤣
As shiny as the flywheel is, somebody done a lot of tugging on it. :(

I had one of these when I was 18, found it scrapped in Gallion, AL , it had a broken rocker arm, only 1 front wheel, and not a flake of paint left on it, just a nice rust 'patina' :).
I was happy it was one of the newer ones with 'electric-start', bought it from a distant cousin for $100, drove it 7 miles back home on one cylinder and one front tire.
Got the rocker arm welded back together in the welding shop at trade school, found another front wheel, and had myself a 'Johnny pop-pop':D.

My mom hated Black Locust thorn trees with a passion and put a $5 bounty:oops: on every one we pulled up and tossed over the bluff into the river.
I had a 30' , 1/2" chain that I would hook 4' up the trunk on ones up to 6" diameter.
I'd back all the way to the tree, wind that big flywheel up to full throttle, and take off running!
When it hit the end of the chain, Johnny would jump up and down.
Only took 3 or 4 tugs and that $5 was mine!:woo hoo:
Paid for that tractor in less than a month.😁

By the way... black locust is a medicine! :)

Only have two tractors here now... a ford 2000. '70 model i think, still use it. Smokes a little. Exhaust got bent in the tornado of '74. I need to convert it to an alternator system. Every time i start researching it something happens. The project gets shelved for a year or two.

The other is a Massey, 50hp. A decent tractor but not great. Every year or so something breaks. I almost caught a hayfield on fire once. The clutch plate disassembled itself while i was baling. Not much fire but a whole lot of smoke. 😁 Last summer the seal around the pto shaft failed. Another year, another $500 repair.

That tractor right there is one I'd dearly love to have. I learned to drive and operate on B and my uncles A, and another uncles G. Great tractors. Those old A's are my favorites.

321 cubic-inches in 2 cylinders!
That's close to a 327ci Chevy V8!
Those things could definitely pull with those big wheels, bigger footprint, compared to today's tractors.
