Yep, Cold War II is here! Mattis informed the Middle East it is pulling most of it's strategic assets out and repositioning global US forces to counter the soviets and china forces, it's ordering a larger naval presence in the Pacific, Japan is testing it's (not 
) aircraft carriers with the F-35, the Second Fleet has been brought back from the dead patrolling the Atlantic. Mattis has orderd the DARPA designed experimental AGM-158C LRASM anti-ship missile to be installed on the ships now, they are ordering the Harpoons to be upgraded, the Marines have ordered the F-35 combat ready and are now going to patrol the sky's in Afghanistan, Trump has ordered more Virginia Class fast attack submarines (16 completed, 11 in production) Destroyers, Ford–class aircraft carrier (1 completed, 2 in production, 2 more just ordered) The Trident submarines are getting the MIRVs back, US is expediting the Columbia-Class Ballistic Missile sub that was scheduled to start in 2021, it's going to start sooner and a massive funding in the NNSA's nuclear weapons activities. The Abrams getting a big upgrade and being installed now, Air Force getting more strategic bombers, F-35 getting new rails for the upgraded Air to Air missiles and the new nuclear warhead that can change its yield in flight all the way from 10-450kt

Hell, our tanks were already some of the baddest boys on the block.
What many fail to realize is that the US can actually DEPLOY OUR TANKS JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE....other nations just can't do that. Between our naval, air force, and numerous foreign base capabilities, we can field a force equal to most nations' entire armed forces, relatively quickly. It's a capability that other nations just don't have.

I think we might just get shut down with a space war. That is if you are talking future, if you are talking like close future then it is to degrade the family which makes America weaker, then while everyone is arguing everyone else's rights and entitlements, and the country becomes more divided, they can sweep in while America has it's mind on trivial current events(trivial in comparison to being invaded). disrupt the infrastructure and come on in. you know how America is usually reactive, not proactive.
Indeed, we have the capability, but the ability or willingness to do it is something else. We could have won Vietnam but there was too much division in the country to carry it out. It would take an attack of grand significance to get Americans behind a leader to make things happen. A call to arms by the PEOPLE.
US just recently created a Space Force Military Branch, they also put the Military in charge of our digital infrastructure security.
Damned scary stuff. I was enjoying the lull from the Cold War being over.
