Does work, but.. Highly-dependent on the 'Delta'... 🤔 Been there, Tried that, decided a 12V / AC RV fridge / batts / solar, etc was the 'better bet'... 👍

That said, Good to know 'How to Do it' / have the stuff (and it's not like sand, terra-cotta pots, and water will 'go to waste, elsewhere', so, a 'Good spend', regardless..) and 'Trial and Error-Learn' by Doing it, pre-dependance on it.. :cool:

We are well aware of evaporative cooling living hear in southern Oregon, it can be rather wicked on occurrence, especially in late fall, if we have a rain storm during the day and the sky clears just before dark, we will usually have a freeze just before sunrise. It's never crossed my mind to use evaporative cooling for keeping foods cold other than using a spring house, I may have to do further research on this subject and do a small project for keeping foods cold without using electricity.
