What's everybody doing today?

I had my haircut today by the young lady who has been cutting my hair for the past year or so. Last last week was her birthday, so I took about five moon pies down to the barbershop for her. She wasn't there so another lady said she would give them to her. Well, yesterday was my birthday, so she bought me a birthday card with a $15 gift certificate to the nearby grocery store so I could buy myself some sushi I like. What a sweet young lady! I gave her a $15 tip to get even with her. LOL

Long day today. Doc sent us to ER, but called ahead and ordered all the tests she wanted done on husband. Had all the testing done in ER, then was admitted to a room. So I came home late in the day, and packed the things he needed, little granddaughter finished chores, and we went to Chic fil a, grabbed dinner, and went to sit with husband for the evening. Ready for bed now. Hoping he gets some sleep tonight, he needs it.
 
Thanks, Urban. I hope so, too, but suspect not. Husband's health is not going to get better.
Bringing the neighbor girls to school in a bit, little granddaughter's school has a late start today for her school. So she'll help me with morning chores, then I'll bring her. All classes are having valentine parties, so they're excited. I'll drop her off, then off to the hospital for the day to visit husband.
 
Otto must have ate something weird again, he was gagging and coughing yesterday evening like something needed to come out but it didn't. I can't imagine what he found this time. The firestarters are way high up and I kept an eye on him outside when we went for a walk. I gave him a piece of ham and it seemed better , I swear this dog wants to kill himself. He gets plenty of food, not sure why he needs to eat weird stuff. He is not a puppy anymore either, he is almost 2.

Going swimming today ! It's better for my diet to go swimming than eat a box of candy for Valentines day LOL

I hope he comes home soon! DH can't sleep when he is in the hospital.

I already walked.
Will be taking my friend to get her glasses at Walmart.
Have to stop at veterinarian to pick up Oreo's meds.
Maybe Aldi.
Dollar General.
A thrift shop to look at a couch.
Then the Methodist Church for Lenten lunch.

These town days just wear me out!

Gotta drop the truck off for a service, workity works work. Snowstorm tonight up the mountain..just a tad of it my way..
Were still dealing with a big breakdown so it is ssllloooowah...gah..trying to stay busy n motivated for 9 hours. Maybe I'll sort some bolts n doohickies tonight..or bring a garden trowel n hit corners where sawdust sticks n compacts..
I'd rather stay home n read..
 
Some nice hot beverage, watching it snow, being glad the 2 racks of wood are in the basement.

not lately but last time I took him to the vet they checked for worms, but it's been a while. I thought of something that might have caused it. I gave him a chewey thing ( like a rawhide bone ) and he ate the whole thing yesterday morning. That was probably it. Not giving him anymore of that .
 
So I baked a cake after all. Was going to make a chocolate cake but didn't have any so I tried something new, a banana cake with caramel icing. It's good but way too sweet. I couldn't eat more than 1 piece even if I wanted.
It did taste good but if I make it again, the icing needs to be changed.

We did go swimming and I did 28 laps. That's 700 meters. I wonder if I can work on making it a kilometer

Giardia..not a worm but a parasite. A round of FenBen, Safeguard Canine Dewormer from TSC cures that!

I know dogs and people who have gotten giardia. It is not pleasant!

I continue to work in the kitchen every day on cleaning and organization. I have been doing lots of scrubbing and have plenty more to do. Lining drawers and cabinets with shelf liner. The rolling trash bin was full today and today was trash day. Recycling bin was pretty full as well, the fullest I think it has every been. Both will be getting more added to them.

Have more thrift store stuff.

I'm pretty sure Bear had Giardia when I first got him. He was abandoned at three and a half months old, had to fend for himself. Eating crap and drinking dirty water will cause it. Is only sometimes detectable!
 
Gloomy overcast today.. Damp, lowering barometer, calm, 40/15F for temp predictions..
About 3pm local time this afternoon it started with about 5 minutes of drizzle that turned to wet snow.. Predicted to get 2-4" by noon or so tomorrow.. Like said, damp wet snow sticking to cars and grass, but melting on streets.. They were out spreading salt on bridges and overpasses as they will ice over first..

...Happy Valentines Day...
Went on the ..Valentines Day.. bus trip to one of the Indian casinos in the area.. Most went to the Bingo games.. Bus ride was $25.. Casino gave a $20 play credit and $5 lunch coupon.. I won enough to replace my initial $25 bus ride and made $29 cash pocket money over and above all that... It was fun as I haven't been in a casino in 10+ years and then only for a special occasion buffet.. This was my first ..bus trip.. like this and while fun once this will be a once a year event.. Light bill for January came today at $31...
 
Today is my day off, instead of tomorrow 🤔! Doing some laundry now, fed the cats and Bear. Taking Bear to the hike/bike trails this morning. Will finish filling the pool and get it going today. Will super shock it. Also have a little mowing to do! Cool front coming tomorrow afternoon so I will bring in a bunch of firewood. Hubby took down a couple more dead trees in the woods, so he'll be cutting firewood later. He enjoys landing them exactly how/where he wants them to land! Going to be a nice day, 70° and sunny!
