the passenger protection part worked, that's what counts in the long run, Didn't that same truck get an ouch not that long ago?,
Yeah, I was backing out of my GF's driveway into the alley on a -16° morning, and touched the right rear bumper corner to the old shed across from her. That plastic bumper cover just shattered into a bazillion pieces. I didn't have an insurance claim for 30 years, now I've had 3 in 2 years...

Little granddaughter and I finished animal chores. She worked on the goose area this morning...cleaning out the bad eggs from the goose house, adding new straw for nesting to start again. Then we prepared soil for a 10 ft square area for squash planting. I'll put the plants in ground probably tomorrow...it's pretty warm out right now, 85 degrees. Had some lunch, and finishing coffee, and will go into the bigger town to the dollar store for a bunch of cat little pans. I'm thinking they'll do well for sprouting grains in the new green house.

Tomatoes and carrots are planted, lawn mowed, laundry done. Just waiting on the appliance store to call back. My Friedrich AC died. If it can be repaired, Friedrich doesn’t anticipate having the new part anytime soon. It is my second Friedrich in 30 years so I think I got my money’s worth. I’ll be ordering a new one and just need to settle an installation date.

We have a Friedrich, from 1978, (knock on wood) works fine!! Made it through the 110+ summer!

I had to work today!! gaah
Somebody volunteered us to blow up balloons for neighbors son's graduation party tomorrow.
Started with a helium tank leftover from their other son's graduation.
Didn't make it thru half of the
41I had to blow up today, so we had to get another tank.
It said it blows up 50 balloons**.
Barely made it thru the rest of them and I could tell it was 'done' too.:(
**I looked at the free balloons that came with the new tank, fully inflated, they are 9".

Will be offline for a while.
Gotta go to the party and see what all they tied 'my herd' to.
(Notice the long strings :)).

They were EVERYWHERE!!! :woo hoo:

Good thing you are sane, I would probably gone NOVA and some would be ripped to shreds HEHEHEH!!!!

I have a low tolerance for glitches, I have learned to control it since I threw a 2 pound ball peen from under 1 car and dented the other in a mosquito swarm while doing an engine swap and having a crossmember bolt I just dropped through a hole be impossible to drive through with the hammer after tightening the other side.

Instead of being professional and just loosening the other side a turn, aligning and dropping it through which is what I did after the dent, I swatted the skeeters and blew the top of of the mountain off resulting in some serious body work to shrink and work the dent and match the paint.
I was lucky it was low enough I didn't have to pull the window or tracking.
I did have to pull the interior panels and seat.

I lit a fire in the stove again, this is a cool spring, at least it is still rain, but how does the weather know that it is a long week end ?? it might have gotten up to 45 F mid day, it looked bright but still chilly.

Getting Ready to snuggle with Me pillow once again, Hope All Here have a Peaceful n Restful Sleep...!!!

We got our first load of cow/calves up here today. Also found a section of fence of about a quarter mile that was down, probably from a herd of elk passing through. I moved the cattle in to a small meadow of about 10 acres until I can finish fence repairs. I'm leaving for the hospital tomorrow afternoon, should be home Monday night.

Think it'll have an impact of beef? Is it that wide spread? We've had a soggy couple weeks, the river to the west is out of its banks but it's a big swamp anyway. I'm on a ridge between river valleys. Never have to worry about your kind of flooding.

Post back often if you can...
I haven’t heard of anyone losing any cattle. Prices are steady and auction barn was busy today. Lot of hay production here which it might affect . One man just started cutting today

so we had an adventure yesterday, son and me went to visit this castle ( Burg Eltz) , despite the rain. We got there before it was really bad and enjoyed the visit but on the way back the road next to the river we needed to go on to get on the other side was flooded. Everything in the area flooded. Where my brother lives it is even worse his basement flooded and some entire towns are flooded.
So we had to make a huge detour and drive on the Autobahn across a really high bridge over the river to get back home....it was ok, they had a lot of speed limits in that area so they weren't driving too fast.
The guy with the umbrella is son btw.

Cooking lunch for the entire family today in my dad's less than well equipped kitchen, should be interesting....more people are coming than expected ( my brothers entire family ) so I hope I have enough food. Making Thai food.

you are up early! here is the view from my dad's livingroom View attachment 130222

Didn't accomplish much today, rained off and on. Had some big storms this afternoon.

Hope it doesn't hurt to much hay. Bad here a couple years ago, lots of rain, weeks at a time. Lots of hay was cut after it'd gone to seed or got wet after it was cut. No one had good hay that year.

@sonya123 there isn’t a love emoji big enough for the pic! Please keep them coming. I loved going through the old castles, churches/cathedrals and homes on my very few trips to Europe. I never did make it to Germany and that makes me sad—my family emigrated from Bayern in 1840.
