Happy Friday the 13th all! I have to buy a lottery ticket today. I figure if God wants me to win, I'll win but I have to buy a ticket. If I'm gonna win, I might as well have a good story to go with it. So however many Friday the 13ths in a year is how many tickets I buy in a year :)

Going out to breakfast with husband this morning, and then have some Christmas shopping to finish up, and also a trunk load of stuff to drop off at the thrift store. Need to take granddaughter to the dentist after school for a filling. Had more "questions", this time for me from CPS yesterday afternoon. They were way too personal, but she said she'll be writing her recommendation today and sending it to California. Now the ball is in their court.
LL...we were married on a 13th, so we always consider that number lucky.

I bought my Lottery tickets this morning as well. I have long been of the philosophy that God will never let me win the lottery because he knows exactly what I will do with the money. Oh Well. If Missouri is supposed to use lottery money for education they should have named two schools after me by now.

Received the Hospital bill for my Gall Bladder removal. Figures below are rounded off.

Total: $47,000.
Medicare paid: $8,000.
Hospital Medicare Discount: $37,000
What I owe: $2,000

I went online and paid the $2,000 with my cash back credit card. :D

Financial outcome was better than what I expected. Planned for the worst and prayed for the best worked this time.

At the church coffee shop this morning. Looking and feeling kind of raggedy. I really, really need to clean and to do laundry but I'm not sure that's going to happen this morning. I might just take a little nap when I go home...;) My daughter will be with her mom until Sunday and I'm going to visit my parents tomorrow...

@Meerkat For many years I have followed Dr John Christopher and the Herbal Legacy website and was a student at the School of Natural Healing.
This isn't advice, but maybe you would be interested in finding out more about using herbs for your eye problems. Many different ailments that I or my family has had have been healed, cured or made better by following recommendations with herbal formulas from Dr. Christopher's teachings. In other words, everything I have used or tried no matter where I got the herbs from, worked.

https://herballegacy.com/Eye_Ailments.html
"Herbal Eyebright: Dr. Christopher's Herbal Eye-Health Formula: This formula is excellent for helping to brighten and heal the eyes, and it is known to remove the cataracts and heavy film from the eyes: Make tea and put into a glass eye cup. There will be a slight burning sensation when using the cayenne in the eye at first, but there is nothing to be concerned about. Tip head back and apply the eye cup to eye. Exercise eye while doing this as though you were swimming under water. Do this three to six times a day. Drink 1/2 cup a.m. and p.m. This formula has aided many sty cases. [HHH p.114]"

My husband used this formula at one time for something that was bothering his eye, not cataracts.

You can purchase any of the herbs from any herbal store, online store, etc. I wish you luck. Take it easy on the cayenne, maybe don't use it at all for the first few days. I know some herbal people are against cayenne but carry on. You can make your own formula or purchase it.

Patch I may try that next I have till mid Jan.2020 till eye dr appt. So may stay with 'Bright Eyes till then.
Befoe the sudden cataracts in both eyes [ which is not noemal ] I was using some organic Castor Oil

Today I transplanted banana trees and Peace Lily'sbefore frost comes. Did some housework .What a bunch of roots!

We it finally happened tonight, at one of my delivery, I was bit by a dog. Im ok, just a small bruise and a small scrape on my left leg,

Yikes. My Dad used to carry a .22LR derringer with bird shot in it just for such circumstances.

Just got off phone with head PT gal at homecare.
She wanted to come do evaluation today at 4 pm.

Nope, I'm going out for my fish dinner at 4 . My big treat.

Besides I told her yesterday I was walking near normal with no pain, but today I can barely walk, can't bend both knees much, must have done something wrong....she said nope ....it's the weather.
She said everybody is having problems today. Fronts are moving thru , barometric pressures are extreme....that's why I'm not good today.

Not an old wives tale I guess.

So I'm set up for Monday.

Jim

Get feeling better Jim and have fun.

Trying to get my war planet game fixed. I have a stress test to do Monday and see the Cardiologist on Tuesday. I'm sure everything's alright though, just making sure my small chest pains aren't anything to worry about is all. I see the Dermatologist next month to make sure my skin tag things aren't cancer.

Good for you @squirrelhunter , getting that stress test. Can't be too cautious on chest pains.
Hope it's good to go.

Hope everyone is well.
Prayers for all that need them.
Grand daughter is feeling much better.
She's full of piss and vinegar Wednesday.
Next week at this time, I will be on crutches.
Will be learning how to use them before surgery.

I've never seen anyone use crutches afte knee replacement,
Is that something your surgeon does ?

All the ones I've seen start with a walker then a cane.

Curious

:huggs:be careful those can be dangerous Mobook. My friend poll vaulted off a porch on crutches and I sprained my ankle on them so then instead of hoping I was crawling.
It is well worth the money to get a walker, crutches bad invention.
I hope you heal fast. Be careful.

I have a walker from the first knee surgery.
I've never seen anyone with crutches either.
Don't particularly have good balance right now.
My knee isn't supporting me very well right now.
It keeps going out.
Definately don't have good balance with crutches.
Maybe the crutches are to help with balance.
Surgeon and I have been having some pretty lively disscussions right now.

Thank goodness you have a walker! We keep one here and its time to get a new one this one is getting a little rusty. Hope you win th discussion.

Sooo let's say 5:30ish - you see the ish makes 5 or 6 possible as well :D

Couple that changed it from to 5:30 showed up at 6.

Then I learned we were going over to one of the couple's house to play table games. News to me. Wife thought she had told me.

Wife was cold and asked the hostess for a blanket. Wife then makes fun of me by telling all I'm wearing long underware. I point out I'm comfortable and she's the one that is cold, she doesn't get my point.

Balance has been one of my biggest problems also.

The walker really takes care of that issue. VA gave me a really good walker.
I used it 2 weeks first knee and 2 weeks this knee

I honestly don't believe I could use crutches.

But you got to follow your surgeons protocol.

I have two primary objectives today; build a 9mm AR pistol from parts and put water proofing spray on my new hiking boots (aka snow shoveling footwear). I am sure I will get pulled or pushed into other activities, but those are the only two things I really need to get done. Wifey indicated that she is going to start making turtles today so that means the kitchen will be a no-go zone for 8-10 hours, so I am pretty sure at some point I will be running out for food for the dependents.
