That is quite the collection!Alright. Let's see what I can do here. It seems mostly kids and women's shoes. But still have some nice and seemingly valuable pieces.
I think those were used by shoe shine guys.Ha! Found them. I knew my grandfather had these somewhere. I found them tucked away in the canning room. The metal has copper in it because they don't rust and there are the tell/tell green spots. Maybe brass plated. I don't even know their proper name.

So if we make shoes, @Peanut can shine them. I noticed the shape was different. Awesome Peanut!
Most ex military can shine shoes. I still spit polish my work boots. So if we make shoes, @Peanut can shine them. I noticed the shape was different. Awesome Peanut!
View attachment 72972 I want to go shopping in this store!!!!!!! I see a dough bowl, a crock bowl, irons, jacks, and is that a giant butter press or grinding wheel. You just got yourself in trouble. I want to see it all
So I have a couple shoe anvils. I think a last is the thing roughly the shape of a foot that goes in it to form the shoe. These are for soles. I might be drooling.
Do you see those kettles/cauldrons!!!! Do you use them. I use mine & love them and maybe I even talk nice to them. That is a grinding wheel isn't it. What is the large piece leaning up against the shelf? But wait! There's more!

And those tools could each be featured in that thread.

That's them! They look identical. Grandpa used them to dry boots by the fire at night.
Thank you!I will take some better pics tomorrow then so you guys can see what I have going on here then.
Thank you!
If you let people guess what they are it will be more fun.

Don't give that a second thought.Lol. I actually need the help in identifying some of these things. I am going to apologize in advance for the layer dust on some of these things.
Thank you! I use that all the time but didn't know who said it originally.Don't give that a second thought.
The philosopher Phyllis Diller once said...
I don't mind people writing things in the dust on my furniture as long as they don't date it.

Yep, you can tell them it's all claimed. I have dibs - not sure why or how, but pretty sure I do I use half the things you showed there - that I could tell anyways. Will look forward to seeing more pix. Your crock-like bowl is most likely from the 20's-30's. They are wonderful for mixing due to their shape. The rim helps to hang onto them.I haven't used them yet. The kitchen cast iron has made it's way into the house. I've had several relatives show up wanting them (The pots, kettles, cauldrons, etc.) I told them to pound sand. There didn't ask nicely. My sisters didn't want any of them, so....... I came out like a bandit.
