Me, too. It is a form of torture. What can make it even worse? Shopping with someone who has A.D.D. and cannot decide! OMFG! Give me a chair to sit in that reclines and wake me up when you have finally decided!I don;t understand other women that actually enjoy shopping for clothes , shoes and handbags. I hate shopping , always have
This could be me. I like to do a bigger weekly shopping trip to a grocery store, and a monthly shopping trip to Costco. Once in a while I do a smaller trip to the grocery store in addition to the big one. Here's the thing for me. I never, ever, go to the grocery store without buying something to stock up on. Today, I wanted organic apples to begin making some apple cider vinegar. I was going by a Sprouts, so I went there. I hadn't been there in a while and I had a Sprouts shopping list: apples, CBD beverages, chia seeds and mung beans for sprouting. Chia seeds and mung beans are preps. CBD beverage because as it gets warmer, I need something that helps get my electrolytes back after I heat up. The chia seeds and mung beans will go into jars and into the deep pantry.Wait, I put Love it, but are they just getting what they eat that day or stocking up quietly? If the later, then that's the love it part.
I get this! I have been there. When I first moved to Colorado, my income versus my expenses was not good. I didn't stockpile much back then. But as life went on, I searched out items for little or free on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, yard sales and others. There is much to be had for free or little if a person makes a list and keeps an eye out for these items. The only reason I could think of would be they known funds are limited and trying to stay on point. Been there done that. But even then I was looking to stretch what I had.
Here's another thing relative to limited funds. There are many, many people in America who are living marginally. I think some people have never figured out how to live otherwise. I believe that the welfare system has crippled many as far as dependence on the government. While I am not wealthy, I have always lived on the opposite side of that. I've always worked, sometimes two jobs at a time. Even now, in retirement, I am still working by taking care of people's dogs and cats. I know others who are retired and are so poor. I have more ideas for making money than I have time or energy to fulfill them.
There is a church that I drive by frequently that has a cabinet installed on the north side of the building, so it stays shady and cooler in the hot days of the year. It has two large doors with glass in them, so you can see what is inside. It is a help yourself food pantry. I drive by it some days and it is so full, that people put boxes and large bags on the ground under it. In a couple days, that cabinet will be almost empty and the bags and boxes are gone. I should start stopping there and taking photos to just track what is there. A game camera would also be fun to see who leaves food and who takes food. I believe the church maintains it as far as picking up the bags and boxes. I know people who regularly donate to the pantry. I also see people leaving donations. I have some to take there myself.
