Off early, sleepy. Safe travels @Amish Heart @UrbanHunter and @backlash and everyone who will be traveling. I had a pretty bad accident many years ago a week before Christmas and I rarely travel on holidays. Seems like more traffic than ever, just too much.
Hoping for a Christmas grandchild, that’s the due date. I’ll be traveling in January to go see.
Fell yesterday, trip, stumble, trying to recover, almost rolled it out. 🤣🧐 Hilarious on replay.
@LadyLocust i got a nearly new condition “Miss Suzy.”

Been really busy since Thanksgiving. Not a lot of time for much else. Took off at noon today, made a couple stops to get a few items for my family. Got home and took care of the birds and ate a sub sammich from our favorite hole in the wall. Finally made it out to the porch and smoked a stogie and had a glass of brandy. Nice quite evening to chill out. Got It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart on the tube.

First- no falling! And “nearly”? Why didn’t you 😍

Well it’s been almost 2 years since Hubby’s old dog died. He’s been sniveling about being ready for a puppy. Totally the wrong time of year but the HS had a litter that was pretty cute so we went to look 👀. Meet Tip 100% mutt.

Safe journeys to all of our travelers!

I worked the closing shift today. We had our normal closer out sick with the vid and another tech was out for her job’s training session. The icing on the work suck cake was the last day for the tech i had the most hope for—he’s going to school in NYC and is moving to his cousin’s up in Harlem.

Amish I'm praying you and Husband make it home safely. Your posts reminded me so much of the nightmares of dealing with hospitals and doctors for my Husband. They're terrible places without hope or comfort and their policies and short-sightedness directly contributed to his death - my heart was so scared for you and yours!
I'm ready to sleep for a week or stay up late and eat too much or go for a long drive or something, I don't know. I wish the weather was good enough to get out for a motorcycle ride, maybe that's what I need. But today was finally the day, I was able to close on the sale of my old house after a roller coaster of delays and problems. It was wonderful to get that check and pay down on the new mortgage enough to get rid of the mortgage insurance fees on it, to be sure, but otherwise I feel such a mixture of sorrow and and relief that I don't know what way is up. That century old house was where I raised my Daughter and where I had a wonderful Husband with a house full of love to come home too, and it's now irrevocably gone. It was a needful thing to do, I'm now in a much smaller house with lower utility bills and a layout that is better for growing old alone, but still....
Bah humbug. I need to get over this and try to get this place cleaned up enough for Daughter to come visit for a few days. It's rather like living in the back of a uhaul; I can't really unpack until I do some remodeling. So glad she's got the time off to come stay with me!
Safe journeys to all who are traveling for the holidays. And for everyone I hope you have a blessed, peaceful Christmas and remember the reason for the season.

Maybe try to see it this way: now the house gets to bless another family and be that place where loving memories are made 😍

Little granddaughter says they've been eating junk and watching trash. Ha. Our youngest daughter who flew to Denver and then back to Tucson for work, is flying in to Wichita tomorrow noon, so son will go and retrieve her. I'll need to get husband settled and get to the store for some fresh food. Convincing daughter to make the Christmas pies. I'm happy to be in my recliner.

@Amish Heart , I'm so glad that you are home, safely and I hope that you all never go back there!

This morning, after walking, I will put the ham in the oven.
Go pick up trash from parking lot of Church.
Do ebay photos for DH.
Slice ham and put most of it away.
Set up an online banking account.
Maybe walk dogs, maybe not.

have to take care of the animals this morning, take dog for a walk and then start cooking. Invited some friends over we havent seen in a while
(they used to live here )
so I am going to do some cooking, plus baking some bread. Still trying to think of some sort of appetizer but can't think of anything I have stuff here for
I was going to make soup but don't have enough soup bowls LOL, how sad is that?
( stuff breaks, I need to get a few more)

Amish :very glad you made it home ok and away from that hospital!!

I'm off today, thank goodness, I'm TIRED! Was going to groom a dog today, the old one with cancer that can't handle going to the groomer. But we are waiting until next week after the rain and holidays, he's not desperate for a haircut!! So I will finish laundry, clean my house, make deviled eggs and brownies, and take a nap at some point!!

My arm still hurts, so it is 4 day sore... I will not forget... Last night I slept in the chair to avoid rolling onto it... Woke up a 03:30 so I got an early start...

Today has been busy, did the dishes and put them away, picked up some groceries, fueled vehicles, took stuff to the Post Office, and now I'm doing laundry... Just 4 more loads and I will be caught up. Wife wants help this afternoon getting the kitchen and dining room guest ready for tonight. So, I don't have to think too hard to keep busy.

If things slow down I may try to binge the second season of Reacher... If my arm wakes me up in the middle of the night again I may watch it then...

Enjoy that dog. What a cutie. I have mutts, too. Healthy dogs. My brother has 100% Golden Retriver and that dog has cost him THOUSANDS in vet bills.

We know mama was part border collie, but he has 1 blue eye and 1 brown and 3 of his litter mates were brindle. I am suspicious that daddy was part Dane or mastiff. He is 8 wks old and is big! I just went to get him a jacket (he will be an outdoor dog once he gets we get 😂 through initial training). A small is too small so had to go with the medium - at 8 weeks old! Not knowing his breed is fine with us, but it does make it a little difficult on the planning front. We gave our old doghouse (for med-lg dog) to our niece. So we need to build a new doghouse and not sure how big. We build them so they can be heated. He's already getting better about not jumping up, but that N-O word is so difficult when he's having fun - heehee. Hubby is as happy as the puppy.

Hubby spent 2 hrs. at HD picking up dog house supplies earlier and is still working on the framing. (I'm actually allergic to dogs so it's a bit of an ordeal making this all work.)
I toasted the bread cubes for the stuffing and next making Blarney Cream (homemade Irish Cream).

With one blue eye he can also be part husky or Australian Shepard.

Cut more brush. Piled up some firewood for the pit. Got about a third of the mess cut back and then mowed today. Slow but making progress. Maybe one or two more days with the mess. Then some scrub trees to take out and clean up. Then get some grass sowed.
Then it's on the the pines that are over growing my blueberries.
Oh almost forgot, repairs to the front porch. If weather cooperates maybe do that next weekend.

Looks like they enjoy the recliner with someone too. Our little pup is always getting in mine with me.
He won’t be for long, but someone who shall remain nameless “sneaks” him in. 😍I’ve already been sneezing but can still breathe so it’s all good. Lots of washing things. He was outside all day today since it was sunny. He has one of those giant crates so we’ll get it worked out.

So....you are sleeping in a crate!!🙂 At least the dog is not allergic to you!! Don't pee in your crate!! Thinking Dane! Let's hope, smart dogs! Huskies suck!! 😉♥️
