    I've made all my forges. I heat to non magnetic and quench in warm oil. Then I draw back temper in my wife's oven. Heat to 400 degrees for an hour then pull out and cool to the touch, then back in, then once again. I usually put the knife in spine down edge up. I have heard folks using a toaster...

    We made stilts, push down hill carts that were steered with binder twine pull ropes by the driver. Cats cradle. Pushing a hoop around the yard with a stick. Horse apple fights. Cowpies were off limits
