I'm trying to figure out the answers to some questions. Sorry if I don't say what they are publicly. I'd ask a lawyer myself but I don't know how to find a relevant one and got shown the door when I went to a wrong specialist

Well, as for my opinion, without a general location (State), and some vague clue to the question (Murder, property, inheritance, buried treasure, space aliens), I am not gonna be much help beyond saying "Call Perry Mason"

Search engines can help, if you phrase your search in first a broad, then specific inquiry.

Thank you all so much! :3

If you know folks in your area that may have had similar issues, you might want to ask them. Word of mouth is the best way to find a good lawyer. Most of the really good ones are busy and don't need to advertise. I'd steer clear of the ones that do. They make their money in volume and don't provide very good service from what I have heard.

Thanks for the advice!

Nextdoor neighbor might be a place to ask.

I do know that a friend found an excellent lawyer when her husband left and moved in with his girlfriend. She found out he had been forging her name on all kinds of loans and credit cards, and was thinking that she was going to have to pay half because they had been married. The stupid thing was that he bought himself lots of shoes and watches and other b.s. He had 30 watches!

Nope, her lawyer put that $50,000 +debt on the husband, who had secretly created it and refinanced the house until there was almost zero equity after they owned it for 15 years.
Where did she find this lawyer? During the evening news there are call teams shown who are taking calls from people needing lawyers. I know there is a channel that has these go on, but I don't remember which one. And the cost of her lawyer.....nothing! It was pro bono.

I'm not a lawyer, but I've been studying law for several years, and many of my friends are lawyers. If you'd like to shoot me a message, maybe I could give you some $0.02 advice, but won't give you a referral, since most won't leave their desk unless they look to get millions in settlement. Also, understand if you call any lawyer, and they officially provide a referral, they now legally have a claim to a percentage of the money won, if there was a monetary settlement.

I got a good gut laugh out of this one.
So I posted this:

And then this gets posted:
(This guy is an idiot, and I edited his little hidden business promotion)
I'm not a lawyer, but I can spot plagerism when I see it.

It's OK though.......it's a form of flattery, right? Or, we're dealing with a troll.......
