I'm making this to go with the chicken stew I'm making for supper today.

Bisquick Beer Bread

4 cups Bisquick
4 teaspoons sugar
12 ounces beer

Grease a loaf pan.

In a bowl, mix together the Bisquick, sugar, and beer until it makes a smoother batter. Pour into the greased loaf pan and cover lightly with plastic wrap. Let sit in a warm, draft-free place until the batter doubles in size (about an hour).

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Remove the plastic wrap and place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until lightly browned and cooked through.

Remove the pan from the oven and place the pan on a rack to cool.

*My Notes*
I use store brand baking mix (I'm not brand loyal whatever is on sale I buy and use)
I've found that having the beer room temperature works well
I use a clean dish towel instead of the plastic wrap (waste of my plastic wrap)
I've lowered the sugar by half and added sharp cheddar cheese to it before and its great
I haven't tried it yet, but I want to make it using rehydrated onion bits and some onion powder
