Found this little critter hanging out in front of my wife's storage container this afternoon.
First one of the year, probably the biggest I've ever seen here.

Good thing for the built in alarm system on these things!

Poison type snakes and I have an understanding. (1) If I am invading their territory and they do not attempt to strike me, then I leave them alone. If they invade my territory, then they go to the great snake heaven in the sky.
 
Oh I see, the snake had a gun (wink wink). And you had no choice but to shoot it (wink). And that's why you always carry a drop gun in the desert. ;)
 
If I put a notch on the handle for every snake that gun took out, there wouldn't be one.
But I'm pretty sure I can file them all under preventative self defense.
