I work in Vidalia. Ever heard of the Onion Festival?

Can't say that I have, but I still love sweet Vidalia onions, lol... those roadside produce stands often had enough dirt shoulder parking to squeeze the big truck in there and buy some bags & boxes of produce. Georgia and the Carolinas... I used to buy some really good stuff there, then bring it home and share it with friends & family. Some of the best peaches I ever ate were purchased at those roadside stands, baskets of 'em that would last for several days in the truck. Georgia gets all the credit, but there's nothing wrong with Carolina peaches, lol...

Welcome from Colorado! :)

Welcome from Alaska!

Idk. Early 2000's TV wasn't any better. Though really I don't think any of it ever was. We haven't had TV in 10 years.
I ditched mine right after 9/11. :)

Ha! just remembered… even though I’ve never grown peanuts I have peanut harvester parts in my old gang-disk. Dad bought it in the 60’s, had odd sized shafts and bearings. When I had to replace the bearings it took a month to find new ones. They are only made for peanut harvesters. Got my new parts from an equipment company somewhere in south georgia. They'll need replacing again in about 30yrs, won't be my problem then! 😁

I've been to At-lanta... Didn't care for that, but occasionally do get a craving for some Waffle House...

Y'all have a good day...

Are you planning Annuals only or Perennial vegetables also?
Are you planting fruit & nut trees?
Edibles flowers for when times are tough..
Are you going to use earthworms in bed & compost piles.
Mushrooms for composting & food.
Honey bees for wax, honey & pollination.
Fowl, rabbits, pigs, goats/sheep, cows, for egg, fur, milk/chesses & butter, meats & manure.

Waffle House, the best place to eat in the contiguous US. If anyone disagrees with that, name another place that will put cheese on a waffle if you ask them to.

Mainly focusing on preparing for the oats right now, but I also have some okra, peppers, eggplants, and tomatoes. Herbs I have many of. Had a corn crop but did not harvest it soon enough and most of it got molded. Also have a two small fig trees.
