Good place for seeds is this one these are citrus Not sure, if they are the kind you want they are supposed to be Florida Heirloom.

Just made an order from them...^^^

Just got some from somewhere else and when I asked them this :

"Are these Seeds ready to bee Planted...?!? I got them a couple of hours ago, I just put them in water and they all are Floating...!!!"

they replied with This :

"I always soak the seeds in water for 1 week and then peel off the skin. Then soak them in water for 2 weeks or longer so that the seeds can germinate easily. This is how I plant them. If you have a better way, you can try it."

WTH...?!? :waiting:

I ended up with 5 sugar cane sprouts, was hoping for a couple dozen. Don’t think I buried them deep enough. Oh well, an hour after I was offered cane stalks I had them in the ground. No planning and just a general idea of how to bury the stalks.

I know where I can get a load of stalks next year. Gives me time to do some research into how to properly grow cane.

The corn that was blown down stood back up nicely. I didn’t expect it to do so well, not the first time I’ve been surprised by corn after a storm…. As an ffa project in high school I had 7 acres of sweet corn planted. It got flattened, most didn’t recover. It made decent corn but was a royal pain to harvest.

The young corn wasn’t hurt, needs nitrogen though, about 50lbs should do…

The mississippi pink eye purple hulls look good. They have a few blooms.

I have one row of watermelons. Look healthy but they are slow growing this year for some reason. Lettuce looks great, got bugs in the cabbage though... I have a friend who has already offered me cabbages so i'm not going to worry about these.

Got my onions planted this morning. Put out a bunch of Pattersons, Blush, and highlander slips from Dixondale onions. These are my late onions to try and store over the winter.
Yesterday got out cukes, Kidney and blue lake beans, and okra. Unless I decide to do some corn I'm probably don't planting until on up in the summer when I'll do some late season crops

I eat whatever strawberries are red enough in the mornings. Usually a few Ha.
Planting tomatoes today. Thought it'd be too hot after lunch, but it's overcast now, so I think I'll get back out there for an hr after I finish my coffee. Husband needs me to take him into the bigger town to the pharmacy, so that'll be after I get cleaned up.

I got a Garden Phlox that are not mature enough to bloom.
Yep, No Porn on this site, No Under-age Pics either...!!!

About 7 foot tall? and it arches over a walkway, fence and into a raised bed. It's not super big and I built it myself with harvested branches (mostly yaupon) from the woods. Hubby calls it my Fred Flintstone trellis.. lol Those vines just keep growing!!

straight up honest..i have worse garden i ever had in my life....worst start to it and so much more...i always grow nice potatoes..one 40 foot row has 3 plants in it....crazy weather...crazy me...crazy wildlife..i must not be paying preacher enough each week...lol...gotta laugh..crying hurts to bad !

In many respects, @elkhound , I am the same way. I have a few things thriving, but for the most part, i've thrown up my hands and said "i guess there is next year.. or maybe fall. Things have been challenging this year, for a lot of us!

WOW, had a double cage made out of fence wire that was about seven feet tall by September & grew back to the ground was growing away from the cage when frost killed it. So I know they can form a mass of vines, I find pruning tomatoes a waste of time, just plant a few more plants.
I remember one year we had green/ breaking tomatoes up till first week in November.
