I really don't prune my cherry tomatoes unless they just get totally in the way out of control. I'll prune some others depending on whether they are in cages, or staked, and if they are encroaching on another tomato.. depends on my motivation level.. lol

and the saga with Orange Seeds continues... I soaked them for almost, all of "Over-night", when something in Me didn't, "Feel" just right, as somewhere in the msg from the person that said to soak them for a week, lost alot in translation... here is what I have going on so far :

I took down the plastic fence around the garden, it was supposed to keep the cats out, wasn't real effective. move some rocks, mowed around the edge, found some carrots had survived over winter, should get some seed , I hope. tomorrow the tiller has to go on, and get things tilled.

My cherry tomatoes haven't done anything so far but they are in the shade. My first "regular" tomato will be ready for harvest this week. It's a beautiful red & good eating size. If the rest of them don't burn up I'm going to have a lot of them, as in crazy amount for so few plants. Peppers, well we have already picked 4 or 5 of them. Bell peppers, I really don't know about because they are mixed in with the tomato's & hidden from view.

Took a quick 2nd look around as I spied something that just May Bloom 2morrow...?!?

While still waiting for #008 to Rise Up More...!!

Meanwhile at the Resting Place, Her Glads are really shaping Up :
Nice, my Glads are blooming, but I have 200 leftover from my last job. I ran out of room in the flower beds. So I will plant them on the farm next month.

garden looks like something a half ass amateur would grow this year...worst ever ! i grew better stuff when i was 8 years old i tell ya!

just a big old mess i tell ya...now rains wont stop long enough to get it cleaned up...spotty germination..varmints and more !

@Neb the last root stock i grafted all 10 are showing leaves already starting to poke out just a bit....10/10

first batch would have been 18/20 but with damage done i dont know now...dam and double dam!

replaced some tomatoes that didnt make it..had a few left over in tray so i put them in blank spots in potato row....then heavy rain and high winds hit...hellish storm rolled through.

While I am behind on weeding everything is growing as expected. May get both apples and pears this year!

I am over joyed about the grafts taking. First time a graft has taken for me.

the tiller is on the tractor, but we had an inch of rain this morning, maybe by mid morning tomorow, I will try mine first I don't want to make a mess of someone else's if it is to wet

If you garden long enough this will happen, have not got more than a handful of blueberries in the last two years.
This year the sucker are touching the ground, because they are full of green berries.
Next year will be better.
Joseph said to store up in the good years for the bad years.

Cherokee Rose. That rambling, thorny, invasive thing grows like crazy where I'm at... more like a briar, or a psycho killer with miniature blades, willing to take over anywhere it can. But enough of that.

My bff (50 miles south of me) wanted me to get her a couple cuttings. So we did, and I was potting them up this morning for starts for her.

Funny thing, though, I'm treating them like a biohazard, throwing every leaf, thorn and piece of stem away, because it seems if any part of this plant touches the ground, it roots and takes over! My husband has threatened my life if he finds any growing on the property.. LOL.

The things we do for our friends.!

I put the spuds in the ground on Friday, consisting of 16 red chieftain and about 58 Yukon Golds. Scaled back a bit as the neighbors we used to trade with don’t winter here anymore. No purples this year.

The wife put in most of her gardens. I asked her what she planted and she just said, “you will know soon enough.” Typical response for her. The tomatoes are still inside for maybe another week or two.

Here's some tips :

this is what I wood/will do when/in due time ; "I had 2 branches break on the peach tree here just as they were getting ripe. Like you, we got a lot more peaches this year. I didn't thin them because the wind is so strong it was thinning them already. if they have any color at all, they will typically continue to ripen. Just put them on a counter in the house and wait for them to ripen.

I did that and some got dry and I ended up cutting them in small pieces and feeding them to my ducks. But others ripened normally and I ate or froze them. "

I have 2 small trees that I trimmed last season and this year one had a few blossoms on it, posted way back when with pics...

I searched quite a bit too find what was the best way and surprisingly this has what I 🐝lieve the Best Answers :

https://www.bhg.com/how-to-prune-a-peach-tree-7967947

What really caught Me eye was this part ;

"Easier harvesting. When allowed to grow with abandon, peach trees reach lofty heights, producing lots of woody growth and few fruits. Well-timed pruning can maintain your trees at 7 to 8 feet tall for convenient fruit harvest from the ground. Pruning also thins nonproductive stems, allowing light to reach the interior of the tree and ripen fruit."

Hope That ^^^ Helps others...!!! ☃️
