LOL! I highly doubt that. But, I'll settle for........well, maybe she's not as crazy as we thought she was.🤪
You might be Einstein right now but this summer the threat will die down, you'll be crazy Angie again, and then they'll use up everything they stashed now so they can have more fun in the summer rather than spending any cash on food. Next fall the virus will return with a vengeance. Then they will be looking to St. Angie to pull their fat out of the fire.

One thing to remember.......is that food thieves will as likely live in the home as outside the home. Family members are not going to do "Short'rations" willingly, with a smiley'face.

I wouldn't want to be a part of that family.

I am also glad (yet again) that we practice fasting. We commonly go without food to increase spiritual and mental discipline, plus of course the health benefits of autophagy.

There is no catastrophe yet. It is a new virus, that so far has a death rate of less than 1% overall. I am prepared for a complete system collapse, there are no cases in the county at this point, and there is no concern that we are likely to be part of this "pandemic".
The targets are big cities and mass transportation hubs. Country folk are more tied to their land and home.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. We are in a rural area and now everyone seems to be losing their minds along with the rest of the country. I guess it's just a delayed reaction here. If folks are stuck at home, NOW they're starting to think of things they NEED, especially since their kids are stuck home with them too. So......off they go! Out to the store with their hair on fire and no real plan on what they actually need!!!!

I see gas stations and banks becoming the next hubs of heavy duty traffic. Have at it.....been there, done that.....I won't be in your way.

The "VIRUS" doesn't concern me. The panic of everyone else does.

That's what I'm thinking. I looked like an idiot this morning at Lowe's buying 5 gas cans. But I'll be driving a few hundred miles to get home this week, and with as much as the panic is devolving, I'm not taking any chances of getting stuck on the way. I WILL get home!

Hubbys bff called me yesterday wanting to know where to buy that survival food we have because he might want to get some. I told him the name of some and told him not be shocked if they were all sold out. We told him a month ago to stock up but...... Our oldest is coming up tomorrow. She called and said people are loosing their minds and her boss told her to go. Said she would have a job when things settle down. There was an armed robbery/high speed chase that ended in her work parking lot. Really freaked her out so she called us to come get her.

I too feel a big relief that I have some preps. We are low on meat compared to what we usually are. Didnt riase chickens Last year. today hubby wanted more Little Debbies! Ran to our local Shop n Save. Out of most debbies. So being I knew I shouldnt be in there, I had to briefly walk through some aisles. What I noticed, any item that is ready to eat, was really picked through. But items to make dinners from scratch, shelves were pretty full. We live in a very small rural town, but even most people around here dont cook or cant. It is sad. But made me smile, cause I thought hmm can I use more flour, beans, etc.

I've been seriously considering making a "tinfoil hat" to wear to town, just to raise questions as to why I'm wearing one. I'm pretty sure our son and his girlfriend think we're crazy, I try to tell him that if things get bad to come our way, but also that it would be good for him to bring something with him, otherwise, we may not have enough to take care of everyone in the long run. Thing is, I'd hate to have to aim a pistol or rifle at family or friends to tell them to move along, but I think I'm getting that instilled into my mind. Thankfully we have a core of good neighbors that are dear friends that have different degrees of prepping and understand how very important that is and we look out for one and other. Truth is, some of our friends are more like family than most of our family, sad commentary but very true.

Don't do it, everyone will be asking you to put on a prepping class right there in the store.

My parents called me this afternoon all baffled and annoyed at these people running to the store in desperation. I asked if they needed anything and she said no, a local farmer friend was going to bring them some goat milk and eggs otherwise they were set for the next month or two. Turns out my Mom went grocery shopping last week and my Dad purchased a number of cases of Ensure protein shakes a a weeks before that because he noticed that "the liberals were starting to freak out". My Dad then told me if he gets "the virus" and Jesus is ready to take him, he is ready to go. Which is why they went to church today, then to a potluck, then went and visited some friends. "No one is going to tell me that I need to self quarantine".

Sounds like my mom. She is ticked off that the medical side of Mennonite Manor is now closed to visitors. She likes to visit her sis, my Aunt Sylvia there. Aunt Sylvia has had pneumonia twice in the last year, and is going blind. She really can't get this virus. Mom's side and Uncle Melvin's side doesn't have any restrictions yet, as they have their own apartments. But mom is still ticked.

things are crazy In my small town as well. shelves emptied out. people coming up here from larger cities to buy toilet paper.

I can feed my family for a month or two. maybe more if the garden comes in. keeping the lights on maybe a different story if I can't go to work for a while.

Thats what I have been saying....Im more scared of the people making irrational decisions based on fear then I am of the virus.

Fear can make people do a lot of crazy and dangerous things.

Really dumb question here... how to I download/capture the "Plan to save the world" video? I want it on my laptop. There are a few folks I need to show it to. Bringing the video on a mobile device independant of the net and let them watch is my only choice.

If you are referring to a YouTube video I think your only option is to save it to a playlist through a YT account. I could be mistaken, BUT, if done that way and it gets taken down you still won't have it.

If your only option is what you say, I would bring the video up on a PC/Laptop, and record it with your phone as it plays out. Then you will have it secured.

I would just figure a way to be comfortable while you are holding your device for 13+ minutes and record it. Make sure you can be free of background noises for that 13 minutes.

EDIT: Be sure the volume is up enough for your device to record it, not too loud though. Also be sure and hold your phone horizontal.

I just tried it and it works perfectly.

It's a Joe M video. Here's a direct link to the youtube page. I'm also giving you some related links that you might find interesting. Just put your cursor over Joe M and Qniversity and it highlights the links.

Yesterday I was at a very large WM supercenter... Almost all the trash bags were gone. The only few that were left was 13g or smaller and most of those were gone.

Why was there a run on trash bags? Do people need them to hide body parts in?

I suspect now that folks realize the a run on supplies can happen, they are going to stock up on anything and everything that is non-perishable and gets used regularly such as bags, paper plates, cutlery, hair products, razors, soap, diapers, salts, ammo, etc.. That list could go on forever. Hopefully this thing will blow over before ALL the shelves are empty. It kind of makes me wonder if folks will run out of money and credit before all the shelves are empty? Hopefully after this first couple of weeks of panic buying, things might level off b/c the bills will start rolling in?

The socialists are out in force on social media shaming and demanding their share. No tp, no eggs, no milk, if you have some give it to some one without. I feel no shame, this is something we prepared for. Those who thought I was crazy now would like to "throat punch" me for buying tp. I have hens out back, and have been sharing with some low income folks, selling to others. I can't do that now because the place where I was sharing is shutdown.
Waiting to see what happens. I don't think this will magically go away March 30th. Some people I know think it will.
Just glad we were ready and then added when this broke.

Guns? I don't have any guns. 🤥

Hah! Sell it on Ebay at jacked-up prices!:mad:
Human greed has no bounddries, its a two edged sword I guess. If not for greed we never would have enjoyed living in the greatest nation on earth, but seems like it may also be the cause of its ending.:dunno:

How have you handled supplies and stocking up? I have built up a particular level or goal's worth. When something that is on the list runs out, I go replace it and put that in the queue. Interestingly, I had just recently replaced my box of trash bags with a new box of 200 a month or so ago from Costco. Do I have other bags? Yes, of varying sizes for varying purposes.

Weedy we have some stock but may not be enough. I know we are not good on the TP.
We do haave a bidet we never use it but that may change. I think its ok for men but not so much for women.
There is also always the good old water hose too.

So several people have posted that Q video. Is this something people are taking seriously? Do we know who made it? Everytime I see something like that I start wondering who made it, why, and what are they trying to convince me of. How do we know this wasn't made by some crazy dude in a basement that is just trying to market Trump to the tin foil crowd? Don't get me wrong, I like Trump and I agree with the sentiment. I hope it's true there is a group out there trying to destroy the worldwide deep state. Just distrustful of info like that when I dont know the source.
