Interesting tidbit. Last evening 4 moose were congregating a bit agitated on the property. They tend to be solitary unless they have calves, but these all were without. Pointed ears and hackles raised, yet still congregating. While I see moose almost everyday, first time in a decade that I’ve seen 4 together on the property. Not too uncommon in the flatlands, but not here. I have heard tales that strong aurora activity can produce unusual behavior. Could have just as easily been a bear in the area. Snowing and cloudy, so we didn’t get to see the show. Only one moose on the property at the moment.
