Story about that rifle. Joh. Spinger started making shotguns in 1836 (master gun smith , high end guns) Their still in business today.
After WWII Springer co. made custom built rifles to thank our GI's . Best I can find out there were 600 made . I contacted Springer and they confirmed the rifle. I actually new Otto , he was one of my customers ( he ordered this rifle [n 1950. Springer Mauser 6.5X57 ,
