I sure would like to see some of those beautiful pics of your homestead or farm, and how you have it set up for SHTF .
I will get some pics of my place with in a day or 2 and post them .

Well I found a screenshot from my security camera on my front porch.
Just my front yard and driveway.

Try this again, the limit on pictures is so small I can't get any pictures other than ones I already did in text to someone since it gets shrunk automatically in text.

I don't have a homestead per se, but we do have a family farm that we use as a vacation home (and bug out location). It has a large house, a garage, metal building, a big garden, tree house, playground, camper, 2 separate fire pits and a lake.

Full Yard 10-20-17.jpg

Woodward County, OK

barn / shop

360 view - I mow out about 125 yards in all directions as a fire break and for firefighters to see what they are driving on, should the need arise

My 50 yard range

A little hard to see in this photo, but for about 4 months every year, I have about 5 acres of nothing but mixed wildflowers covering the sand dunes right behind the house-

We get strong winds (up to 50 mph) regularly, tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires, hot & dry summers, a little snow and an ice storm or two.

This was stopped 6 miles NE of me as it was headed towards here.

and another - this was stopped 4 miles SW of me as it was bearing down on us

Here is a few of my place, I've only had it a year, working on getting my irrigation water from the creek across the highway which will change everything.

Just a couple weeks ago , a friend of ours , with a 10 year old little boy, lost their Beagle , and was devastated,

He had met Rooby my Bagle, and really liked her, so I offered to let him have her.

Best thing I could ever done...she has a Kid , and he has a dog.

Yep Jim that was best you could have done for the dog and the boy. They surely are best friends already.

Man thats beautiful,
You should be proud...
How many acres you on ?

Jim
Sorry, alerts never showed your response. I'm on 5 acres, taken 14 years to get it to where it is now. Lots of mowing and landscaping but I actually tend to enjoy it now that I don't do landscaping for a living like when I was young. If you can believe it all but three of the trees in this photo were planted by me. Wish I had time to grow a large wooded area but I'm thankful for the trees I have. The best part to me is the 100yard range right outside the back door. I have about a mile to the next house behind me and my next door neighbors actually like I have guns and know how to use them as they are older and rely on me if something was to happen.

We moved from a 5 acre homestead , 20 years ago,
Loved that place,
Now am on 25 acres....and done got too old for it.

We now , need 1/2 acre.

I wish I had 25 acres. I'm on 15 and feel it's not enough
