My neighbor and I trade off shoveling each other's walks. It is possible that the person on the right in this photo never shoveled, even when the neighbor might have shoveled for them from time to time.
When I lived in North Dakota, my front door was on the north side. Snow that falls in October or November, could still be there in March or April, in the form of ice, if you don't clean it up after each snow storm. I had a neighbor who never shoveled or swept, but our doors were not this close. All winter they would skate out their front door, but on the lumpy ice.

There is no way I could leave the neighbors steps covered in snow unless they were real AHs.
My OCD would not let me.

I'm with you, especially when they were shared steps. When neighbor next door didn't sweep or shovel, around a wall, it was another story. I cannot stand to have snow packed into ice and then I have to pray that every time I go over it that I don't fall and break something. It can take a minute or two to clear those steps.

After being below the southern mountains since Dec 1, the sun finally returned to our little abode. It graced us for about 8 minutes today.

Here is a picture during the full moon a few days ago where you can see all the ice crystals that shine so brightly in the moon.

Some odds & ends... first, we have views of Sierra Blanca, a roughly 12,000' peak NNE of Alamogordo:

Here's a tiger mural I saw today in town:

I guess it's a tiger, that's the name of the local high school football team, the Alamogordo Tigers! 😎
