Breaking the property and injuring the persons of people who have done you no direct harm is the act of a neanderthal or a child. you deserved that load of buckshot that removed you from the gene pool.

If something isn't harming you, it's not a problem, inserting yourself into the problems of others is not wise. if you want to save the world, join the peace corps.

Occam's razor is your friend, wield it wisely.

Do not complicate that which is simple, its how lawyers and politicians got started.

Your race, gender, religion, sexual proclivity, or political belief is NOT your identity! If you look in the mirror and see something other than
yourself, you need psychological help.

Removing the rights of others because you do not use those rights or disagree with them does not empower you, it proves you are a jackass. be it abortion, weapon ownership, freedom of speech, or the right to bang whatever consenting partner of legal age that will bed down with you.

People who mind their own business seem to have a natural aversion/immunity to being punched in the face, shot, stabbed, set on fire and stomped out, kicked in the nads and beaten to death with road kill.

People who adhere to traditional civility in public tend to have a similar immunity, just saying.

Nature designed humans to eat meat, our forefathers ate meat, the circle of life is eating meat. IF you choose not to eat meat, that is fine, but don't bothers others who do not share your views. diet is like a sex partner, we all have different tastes, if we all shared the same taste there would be only one restaurant chain serving one thing. chances are if someone can't stand to watch someone eat a certain thing, they don't want to watch you have sex either! be considerate.

Freedom of speech is great, it lets everyone know who the racist, sexist, socialist, pedophile, drug addicts are and allows them to act accordingly. Let Willie Bubba have his rebel flag and post his jokes about raping livestock and hating other races online, put his religious artifacts where he can and wear his skinhead t shirts. now you know who he is, join him or avoid him at your discretion.

Some people are naturally fat and ugly, however your reaction to them as they grow up can make them ugly inside, cut us fuglies some slack, Just as vintage wine in a plastic cup is still wine, piss in a silver cup is still piss as well.

Did you ever notice that people of different races and religions generally get along fine until government or media gets involved. We were getting along just fine, almost had it figured out, then four idiot cops beat the **** out of Rodney King, violated a bunch of his civil rights etc. the man was no angel to be sure, but jeez! then they turn around and violate the cops civil rights and try them twice for the same crime they were acquitted of, violating their civil rights. two wrongs do not make it right, no matter who's swinging the bat, and that crap was screwed up from so many angles it's heart breaking! RIP Rodney, Yes, yes we can get along IF WE'RE LEFT ALONE! People who like to stir up sh1t are worse than Nazis, they won't pull the lever on the gas chamber themselves, they don't have the guts, they want to brainwash others into doing it for them! Anyway, things have been going to hell ever since, they refuse to let us heal, forgive, and get on with our business.

OH, and after this house of cards falls on its face, guess who will get the blame? better keep a plane ticket handy, just saying. the MAN will chuck you under the bus just like he did the blacks, the working class whites, and the Christians! How about we stop letting others think for us and remember we are all HUMAN first and vote using cold, hard logic instead of knee jerk emotions and feelings!

Yeah, now getting back to our so called "Justice system" It's like Farrakhan said, but there's not just two sets of laws, its multiple sets! Whats your race? how much money do you have, your sex, gender, orientation, politics? did you commit a crime against someone "better" than you? or was it against the system itself? and may your gods weep for you if you screwed the government somehow!

Because its been so warm here, but wet, I've been finishing off the laundry in the dryer. Its always damp here and the kids used to put stuff away without thoroughly checking inside pockets etc, so stuff would smell. So the rule is ten minutes in the dryer- Ireland is too damp to do without one. Anyway I've been jamming the door for the last month as it keeps popping open, but now its rumbling as its turning- ball bearing maybe? and my back windscreen wiper is not working, and we are heading on a two-hour trip away tomorrow under an orange rain warning. Hubbys going to be busy today 🤔
 
Plumbing pains are the worst? My house was originally built on 1910 foundation. No crawl space. Drain pipes have insufficient fall. Clearing drains has become routine, although always unpleasant! I have screens on three of my worst offenders, but that only prolongs my inevitable plugs...
 
Our farmhouse was built in 1908 but didn't have plumbing till I don't know when. But the owner who did it, did it himself, so we've had alot redone. The shower clog was in the new add on, so that's recent, and I just have to clear the drain. We have a handicapped shower for my husband, so the lip on it is not much of anything, suitable for a wheelchair to roll in on, so you have to know it's draining ok.
 
Turns out the heating issue wasn't fixed. It only cooled off because I opened windows. Considering the old thermostat was not cooling and it was the original wiring setup, I don't think it is the thermostat. I'm thinking it must be the compressor because the capacitors look fine & were replaced not too long ago, but the compressor is not kicking on. I keep having to open my window to let cool air in. It went back up to 76 even though it is set to cool to 69. If its not the compressor, I don't know what the problem is. But I'm going to have to cut the weeds before I can get someone to look at it.

To help with the pre-moving purge I have been selling some of my collectables online. I listed and sold one of my Chatty Cathy dolls at the end of last week. Today I woke up to the buyer saying they are returning the doll for a full refund. Normally I will work with a buyer when there are issues with the item. This time I wasn't given any indication there was a problem. They just opened a case and demanded a return. The reason they gave was they changed their mind. I get that people change their minds Buuuuuuuuut...

This buyer hounded me about shipping the item out asap. They started the return within 10 minutes of the USPS delivering it. If they had changed their mind before the item shipped I would have been happy to cancel the sale and give a full refund. Even if they changed their mind before it was delivered I would have worked with them. In less than 10 minutes they decided to send it back.

Now I am out the money from the sale and the shipping costs, gas to take it to be shipped and the cost of the packing/shipping materials.

My immediate reaction to hearing this is will you get your Chatty Kathy, or will she return one that she had that has some issues, such as no longer speaking? I believe someone like this should pay a restocking fee. Some people are just horrible people.

I have had a few encounters with buyers who must just troll to harass. On one Teachers Pay Teachers sale, an item was $3.00, very low price, but a common item in a Montessori classroom. Buyer wanted a refund, saying that it was a blank document. Document was submitted to TPT, and I have sold many. This buyer insisted it was blank, and wrote a bad review. My response was "Why wasn't any other buyer's document blank, just yours?" I also wondered how many people she has done this to? Perhaps every purchase she makes she wants a refund. This is a digital document. There is no returning it. She can even share it with anyone and everyone, and after her request which I declined, she probably has.

To make matters worse they returned it to an address I do not live at or have access to! So unless I convince ebay about this I will be out the doll AND the money.

I have a friend (acquaintance) who sells on ebay, this happened to her too. The purchaser returned the item to a friend's address. She got confirmation from UPS, forwarded that to ebay. She did not get her item back, but got the payment, the buyer was not issued a refund. Good luck!

This happened to me before Juju was born. I never got the item BUT I was allowed to keep the payment. Ebay is fighting me this time claiming it is the address I gave the buyer. I have not had contact with the buyer except a message telling them when I would ship the doll.
 
Years ago I ordered a processor from ebay (big mistake). It was advertised as a certain type and it was a lie. I told the seller it was the wrong item. He said to send it back. I did, but he had a fraudulent return address. He also had a fake phone number. Ebay never refunded my $ and 3 months later the item got returned to me bc Fedex couldn't deliver it back to the guy. At least I got that back. Around the same time I bought a motherboard from another seller. They said it was new unopened etc. Right after I paid them, ebay terminated their account for some sort of violation and sent me a message AFTER saying that seller wasn't reliable. I told ebay "I already paid them for this item!" and they said "Too bad". They did send the motherboard but it was open box and damaged.

I've had slightly better luck with e-bay since then-- although they often lie about "new" condition. The phone we got was used- but it works.

So, my beef for today is electrical issues. For one, the AC is still heating instead of cooling. My sister said she had the reverse where it would cool instead of heat and it was a switch in the compressor. So, I need to get weeds cut enough for AC people to look at it. Then while I was microwaving potatoes for dinner, there was a pop and the microwave shut off. I checked the breaker and it was fine. It's in a 6 port outlet extender from the 1980s and is screwed in to the current outlet with a rusty looking flathead screw. Gradually the ports on this extender have died. The air fryer outlet was still working but the microwave plug was stuck. I put the potatoes on the stove to cook and spent the next 10min trying to get the damn plug out. I had to get rubber gloves for grip (and safety) and managed to get it loosened enough to slip a plastic putty knife behind. Unfortunately, while I was tugging, the outlet was moving with the plug and the lights in the kitchen shut off. So, some wires have pulled loose in the outlet itself and the stuff linked behind it got shut off. I need a new outlet AND a new outlet extender. I found the extender. Just need to get the outlet. And I know there is a screw through the cable powering this thing but I don't know if it has any impact on the functionality. The plastic outlet box is inside the pantry. So, for now we can't use the air fryer, the microwave, or the kitchen light. Ugh. if I can figure out what breaker its on I can put in a new outlet.
 
Sorry, I've been out of it for a few days, which is why I am posting this rant. My good friend, neighbor, and shooting partner decided to go to a chiropractor for an "adjustment". My friend, who is 80 years old is in great health, fortunately, since his wife is disabled.
So my neighbor goes to "Hilda" (a made up name but so fitting) and with no xrays or medical history, uses two fingers and decided that it was his L4 vertebrae that needed adjusting. She placed him on a flat table and pushed down, as if she was in a wrestling match. Well, Hilda snapped his back and fractured it. A complete separation. I rushed him to the hospital, where I sat for 12 hours tending to my friend. My G/F stayed home so she could tend to my friend's wife. Due to his age, no surgeon will fuse or insert rods, but they sent him home in a huge back brace. We have to be their caretakers until we find maids, helpers, medical staff, etc.
This is why I've been so distant.
Please everyone, just think about these so called doctors of chiropractor, because they are not doctors, they are quacks. As a matter of fact, my mom died as a result of a chiropractor. She had ovarian cancer and the pain was radiating into her back. This quack told her avoid conventional doctors for 6 months, and with 30 simple visits, her back pain would be gone. Had she not wasted 6 months with the quack, a real doctor would have had enough time to save her. I hope I'm not offending anyone, but this is my opinion.

So sorry for your friends, they are blessed to have you and your wife!! I wouldn't let a chiropractor mess with my back!! Very scary! Praying he can recover!!
 
The doctor who treated my friend said he himself has treated 14 patients this year from chiropractors guessing, being too rough, or manipulating someone wrong. His words, not mine, but he told me that of these 14 patients, 3 died, 6 are permanently paralyzed, and 5 he was able to get better, but with extensive treatment. He added that those who do a full neck manipulation cause the most damage. Is it because of the economy and needing to make that Mercedes payment? Who knows, but please tread lightly walking through the doors of a chiropractor.

Her daughter was 32 married with 2 small kids. She went to a quack the adjusted her neck.
He broke her neck and she was paralyzed. I believe she died a few weeks later.

I worked with someone that went to one and got his ribs broken. I would never go to one either, do yoga instead
 
so here is my rant for the day: the things I am SOOOOO sick of in the U.S. are the woke crap and the global warming crap.
Just clicked on some stupid news article while eating lunch that was going on how the climate change is affecting this small land area in Washington State that is Indian reservation and how terrible it all is and what should be done about it. EVER HEARD OF EROSION???? I have a hard time not cussing on here just thinking about this nonsense. The earth is not static. Sand gets taken from some areas and deposited in others. It's been happening forever. Look at all the small barrier islands on the east coast, They were not causes by climate change but currents , hurricanes and erosion ( and deposits of that sand elsehwere)

The woke crap; you cannot watch A SINGLE US Hollywood created movie or tv show from the last few years that do not have A; African Americans totally overrepresented and made into something MOST of the actual current African American population is not. I do not care if this is racist one bit but they should be THANKING the decendants of the slave owners for bringing them here on their knees instead of demanding some sort of reparations. They could be living in some complete ******** ( can I say this? there is no other word for that) like Sudan, or Chad, or Central African republic or any other one over there
Not getting into the he/she transgender stuff, Magus already covered that one pretty well
 
Havasu, that is awful! My paternal grandfather had many jobs-- worked in a circus, merchant marines, and chiropractor. But his business partner was selling drugs to people and they both got drummed out of business over it. There are some good chiropractors but a bad one can be fatal. I had a decent one when I was in Guam. But, I truly think that adjustments should not be done without being in conjunction with some sort of massage therapy. All it takes is for a person to be too tense to lead to serious injury. The muscles need to be loosened up first.
 
I just remembered another story.
I guy I worked with went to a chiropractor and they took an x-ray.
My friend was an x-ray service engineer and he asked why the machine did not beep when they took an exposure and was told it didn't do that. It's required by federal law to make a noise when an exposure is made.
They then showed him the film and it was not his. He could plainly see the person that was filmed was a woman complete with drooping boobs.
He just got up and left. He contacted a guy he knew that was a state inspector and told him what had happened.
There was a surprise inspection and the chiropractor was shut down and receive a very large fine.
