Vogelzang Boxwood Stove gasket question

I have this vogelzang stove, it doesn't have a door gasket or a groove to install one on the door

Am I missing something, or is this one just made that way?

It depends on the model. If your chimney pipe (flue) is nice and tall, it won't need one. The hot gasses in the pipe draw a suction on the inside of the stove/heater so nothing will leak out the door.

I doubt they would sell the gaskets separately if the door already had one.

We have a Vogelzang stove for the shed our son used to live in, it's full of gaps the air gets in, no door gasket, the air intake is just a simple sliding air valve in front of the door and one thing that I did to stop excessive fast burning was to put sand or ashes to cover the inlet, that helped slow down the fast burning. Those stoves appear to be made more for burning wood like a construction site stove, good for useless cut off pieces of lumber and other scrap wood but not for slow burn heating of a room.

I just used fiberglass tape glued to the stove with Furnace Cement.

First time I saw one of those turned in to a smoker / grill. Pretty cool!
