Hah. Did you recognize that "What me worry" quote? Alfred E. Neuman, A Mad Comics figurehead, in the Long Ago. The other name I remember from those days is Melvin Of The Apes. Tarzan with an attitude - and a tendency for bad landings when he swung on a vine.
Yes I noticed the ref to Alfred E. Neuman.

When I was young, before the internet, my mother allowed us ( my 3 siblings and I) to choose one periodical from publishers clearing house...

I always subscribed to Mad Magazine. Read every letter and every spy vs spy in the margins

So I'm not sure how this works. Buy hyvee has road diesel for $4.55 a gallon still. But the truck stop is selling cherry flavored diesel for $4.79

Mm. Is it too late to return to horses, mules and oxen?

Just reread your sig. Theoretically, it should be impossible to be a self-centered socialist. Another theory shot to hell.

Paid $2.98 per gallon of regular unleaded today when I topped off 'The Mighty Camry' at Speedway... only to see $2.95 per gallon at Circle K a few minutes later, lol. Meh, ya win some, ya lose some... at least it was under $3 per gallon. I'm gonna top off the bike soon and fill my jerry jugs too, as these prices may not last. Bought some more good Castrol Oil today for the bike as well, the 4-stroke synthetic oil that my bike likes, but that was at O'Reilly Auto Parts... I also bagged some Lucas fuel treatment for the car while I was there, and dumped it into the tank right in the parking lot, lol. My older car likes those Lucas products, I also use the tranny fluid additive just to keep the car rolling right along... that's how ya do it when ya have over 225K miles on the odometer, lol. Timely oil & filter changes also help, I do all those myself. ;)

Wow, some of you are doing better than I am, price-wise on fuel, lol... but I'm not complaining, I'll settle for just under $3 per gallon! Going riding tomorrow as well, gotta take advantage of good weather and lower fuel prices, ya know? Both those factors could change for the worse, pronto, so I'm gettin' on the bike while the gettin' is good, lol.

We live just on the Florida side of the Florida/Georgia line.
The closest town in Georgia and the closest town in Florida are equidistant.
Georgia - $2.879, Florida $3.499.
60 cents a gallon difference, and my truck gets 14.8 MPG, so you know where I fill up!!

Diesel is the same on both sides of the line - $4.999

For the first time in over 2 years I filled up yesterday at 2.95 per gallon.

That won't last long but it was nice for a change.
