@Frodo I hope you get things sorted out with the missing delivery. I know that situation all too well. I just ordered some stuff from HomeDepot and Amazon and am anticipating problems with the HD order if it comes via Fedex. But we'll see. Did they have any "proof of delivery" pics?

Went for a walk this morning-- started out looking for my oldest cat but it was nice outside and the dogs wanted to play so I walked. Saw the cow's waterer was low and still full of rotting leaves, twigs, and pecans. So I dumped it out (this time I avoided the fire ants). Put a splitter on the hosebibb so I can have 2 hoses. Got the new hose attached, rinsed out the trough, got the new hose on the filler and have it filling up. Will have to check it later for any leaks. But the cows should have nice clean water now. Made sure the hose was for potable water.

Then I grabbed my gorilla cart and hauled more trash to the burn pile. Cat I'd been seeking found me so I stopped and brought him inside for some canned food. The wheels on the cart are great. Go over rocks and pits without problems. Very easy to maneuver for the size of it.

Waiting to see if my friend decides he wants to paint at his house today or if he will at least tape stuff off so I can go over and paint. I volunteered to paint while he takes a break from the plumbing work he did yesterday setting up a rainshower thing in his bathroom. He opted to use galvanized pipe to offer more support on the ceiling.

Took actual furniture to the country house, and some winter clothes. Lori has to inspect and stamp it's passport before it can go inside :p. When I wasn't looking they put up a street sign :)

Survey stakes in the lot next door, someday we might have more neighbors.

We had another good sized dump of snow, so I will be blowing and pushing snow. No wind and 10 degrees so a nice day to do it with some light snow falling. As long as nothing breaks, should be a good day. But stuff always breaks….

Send some down here- we need it! We went over the mountain yesterday and hardly any snow over the top.
Also saw some mountain lice (elk). 😊. Forgot to mention that.
Saw a huge buck on my way to church today. Home, ate dinner, and kitchen nearly cleaned- have to wait for the pans to cool down a little.

Such a gorgeous day out today, wish it would stay. In the low 70's and no wind. Did morning chores, then little granddaughter and I turned the dirt where the old turkey run was. After lunch, we went to get feed (500 lbs), then to fill a cart at Aldi, then I took her to HteaO, a new shop in the bigger town. She's been wanting to go, and it was pretty nice. Unloaded feed, put groceries away, put a batch of brownies in to bake. Doesn't seem like a Sunday night. Little granddaughter and Levi just played a game of cards, and they're sitting on the porch rocking chairs looking like old people.

Jake and I fueled equipment this morning and set a couple of brush piles on fire.

still no internet, using hot spot again. Hope our phone data is not going to go way over this month. Husband called the internet company yesterday but nobody there since it was Sunday. We will call again today , no outages reported in our area, maybe something with out equipment.

cleaned the house and did a ton of cooking yesterday plus took dog for a hike. No new lambs. Tomorrow is their official due date ( 5 months from when we put ram in )

Coffee, I feel pretty decent this morning. Gotta get something worth while done today,

Lots to do today. Family helpers coming over later to give me a hand too. An appointment this morning.
Grass is green now instead of all the dead stuff. I guess winter is finished here. Had volunteer daffodils blooming in the yard too. Pollen everywhere.
@Tirediron glad to hear you’re feeling better. Don’t forget :coffee:

It took a little time to come about, but ...No Good Deed... or fun time... goes unpunished it seems...
Almost everyone that went on the Valentines Day casino bus trip has come down with a cold of some kind.. Luckily my version was a few days of runny nose and a long day of toilet ...issues... That is all so far... Knockonwood...

The snow we got Valentines day is long gone and today to be 61/35F... Then 2 days of near seasonable and 60F again through the weekend... Seasonable, but still quite warm for late Feb, early March..

Maple sap was running earlier.. I don't know if the roll-a-coaster temp of late have affected that or not.. Not sure what quality the sap is, so it might be a difficult year for that.. I think there are buds on some trees along the creek and swamp near here.. This makes me wonder if a late frost will be a problem for many things... Did my volunteer thing at the food shelf last week and will do again tomorrow..

Otherwise hope all are doing OK..

We have a nice warm day today, then, kabam. Tomorrow night won't even hit 20 degrees. Getting lunch together then taking husband to a doc appt. Animal chores, girls to school, and laundry this morning. Other sweet neighbors I drive for brought over ground turkey, ground sausage, and bacon. And some local gift certificates. They are sweet. We were spoiled this weekend, for sure.

It rained last night, then the temp dropped and it turned to snow. The temperature is still dropping and the wind is blowing hard. With some of the higher gust it's like a blizzard, can't see the house from the fur shed. Can't see the boat either, and it's 5' from the porch. Not sure if I'll make it out to check traps today. The girls are in the kitchen making some Thai stuff. I figured I'd hang out in the fur shed today.

Got up and cleaned some trash out of the truck. My brother left food wrappers and empty drink containers in it. Moved stuff around so Mom has room to sit in the front seat. Turned the truck around to make it easier for her to get to the passenger side. Picked up a bunch of her clothes and stuff and did a load of laundry. Got it in the dryer now. Hopefully it will be dry before we leave for her appointment.

Friend's paint was dried up so he has to pick up more on his way home from work today. I'll be over there so he can transfer stuff from mom's old computer to new computer. Her old one got eaten by roaches. I spent a good portion of last night trying to clean out roaches to see if I could get it running again but they killed the power supply.

Hopefully will get to paint today when we go over. Mom will get to sit on the couch while friend works on her PC and I will be painting.

Working today, eyeball deep in some spreadsheet forms I’m developing. Had a bit of an earthquake around 10:15 am, woke me right up during my staff call. Epicenter was about 20 miles due north, a quick jolt and it sounded like a truck driving through the house. Now it’s full on snowing after being in the 60’s yesterday. I might make steak for dinner.

Husband's doc appt, then on to Walgreens, where he could not pick up two asthma Medicare pt B meds because the medicare system was hacked last week. Not resolved, and they don't know when it will be. Not good. I heard about this Friday, and told him....now he realizes. Glad he still has some back up at home.

☕coffee, I shoveled some paths, I want to plow snow, but we are supposed to get a bit more so that can wait. And the process some more firewood, and maybe do one step to making the firewood job easier.

I worked in the greenhouse today. Shuffled the blackberry sprouts around. Empty cells got transplants from cells with multiple sprouts.

Broccoli seeds went into 4" pots. Three varieties. Thompson, Umpqua, and seeds I collected from my plants last year.

Rearranged trays.

Amish that's so scary - not being able to obtain life sustaining meds is a horrible thing. So glad you had some back up stashed. Big lightbulb moment for Husband, eh?
Still in the spending money mode. Ordered a greenhouse kit today. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should try to dig out the sod and level the ground myself with some rental tools or have a contractor come in and do it. One greenhouse is 12x20 and the new one will be 16x25.
Put new clothesline up today and got three loads of laundry done and hung out between work meetings.
Need to get a space set up in the basement and get the seeds started soon.

95 today, will bring firewood in tomorrow ahead of tomorrow night's cold front! Seems retarded to me, but gotta do it! I will be watching for snakes in the wood!

Took Mom to the doctor. She has walking pneumonia. Picked up RXs. Went to friend's house so he could setup Mom's new computer. Her M.2 slot SSD card was toast bc of the roaches. But her 2.5" SSD still had data. He got it all set up and then put dust screens over all of the places with holes. I ordered silicone covers for the ports and will be putting electrical tape over unused ones until the silicone ones come in.

Went to walmart for some groceries and then got home. Unloaded stuff and cooked dinner but Mom conked out so I'll have to reheat it when she wakes up.

Friend didn't get paint yet so the plan is to paint Thursday. I'll bring my portable tablesaw over and transport lumber for him.
